For me personally this trading is overly agressive but I believe that it's likely to make 1 percent daily with a fantastic management without news. I agree with you about problems because last tuesday JPY has been quite strong during all the day dropping very late. In such cases, we have to take...
    this trading is overly aggressive
Yes it is. As a guideline, think about 1 basket as one trade.
For conservative lot sizing take 0.1-0.15 lots / $10K capital, aggressive lot sizing 0.2-0.3 lots / $10K funding.
Aggressive would be such as 0.21 lots / 7 (pairs at the basket) = 0.03 lot dimensions per pair.
For this sort of system it is vital to control the downside (DD). Overszing / overlevereging will kill it.

You tell this black scenario can occur 2-3 times every month
It is not really a doom scenario, but a part of market behaviour. That is why martingale systems finally crash during extended moves.
Once I say 2-3 times each month, what I am really saying is that a series of correlated pairs move well beyond their 5/10/20 day Average Daily Range.
If you get trapped on the wrong side, you'll have to er for this (trade small).

What is your trading egy with the currencies?
I do precisely the reverse from what this system does. That is, dependent on currency weakness I move brief (with the trend) whilst this egy would go long (contrarian) expecting mean reversion. Essentially, IMHO this system could be very successful with the right settings.
Testing and fine tuning a system is very tedious as there are many variables with many distinct combinations.
A fantastic way to narrow down settings, variables, is by taking screenshots of all key numbers at certain intervals, logging info, etc..

To conclude, I will give you important pointer.
As I said, I do precisely the reverse from this particular system.
Pareto rule: 80 percent of the system's transactions are during the Asian session and the first hours of London. Hardly any trades after NY opens.
When should your system afford the majority of transactions and why?

Look at the charts in this informative article
Bottom left is (a version of) the xADR renko indior.
If (utilizing the xADR indior's standard setting of 20 percent ) space up/down is surpassed it is going to light up in red.
This means that a pair is far up in its range and I / my EA won't exchange this pair anymore because trading is about maximising chances.
What do you believe your system should do?

Hope this helps you a little in the right direction.
    Good luck.

    Hi luxing
I am not sure I understood that your way of trading with TMM....no matter.
I agree with you that this method is a countertrend trading however when the delta is big I am considering that the move is sufficient significant
and that the likelihood of reversal seems high. Nethertheless, I agree, we need a stoploss.
If individuals are interested by this procedure, let us see their outcomes in next days.
If they're bad, let us forget.

Just my idea of course, but a basket of currencies in combination with countertrend trading is something that may very easily spiral out of control. Happy (basket) trading ! LuXing
The momentum is represented in the price. The chart is all about correlation. (Nicely done, post #8) because it's my experience of its veracity. A system ought to be helpful if reflect price action, the closer to the price; the better the system. Afterward, no need to look for correlation. Keep it easy. If you looking for an entry then concentrate on the chart of post #5. Significance , a filter is essential. Now, if you decide to use the correlation you can be certain it's real. The logic of your system is very good things occurs as you pointed out.

I.e. if at a market cycle or D1 candle of 24 hrs an average of 3.500 pips would be the sum of this transfer in pips of 28 pairs and in a given moment the ATR measured over these 28 pairs is 700 pips (thus TMM = 0.2 or 20 percent ). What does this tell you ? That the market for a whole has moved into its...

Thanks for the explanation Ezios. Can you make the second and third basket of orders open on the next new candle?
