I am scared!!! When MetaTrader 5 comes out will we need to rewrite all our indiors to utilize on MT5?

  2. #2
You need to recompile them in mt5 - .

Not any longer. MT5 platform is completely incompatible with MT4. Same with indiors.

Look 80 % the same. So while you'll need to do rewrites to get it working I am sure most brokers will probably be running MT4 along with MT5 for a long time (some broker still run MT3) - They don't wanna lose ALL of their clients while EA's are updated. - Do not worry you will have tons of time to rewrite code which needs updating (prob decades!!)

I wonder if this platform will be better than the ones? I mean to the Trader. Maybe George over at BT should be forced to trade 1st? Give it some of its own ne.

MT5 was made to help brokers not traders. So whatch out. The order direction is different. You will be able to have BUY or SELL orders in the same time, should you enter another BUY or SELL order it will get combined with present ones. Meaning any grid trading will need a rewrite.

That's exactly what this linked thread is about...

It ends up grid traders, several break out traders, EAs trading alongside manual traders, multiple EAs trading, some of the long-term trading combined with short term trading styles and several of the MT4 martingale egies.

An MT5 broker is a downgrade for your MT4 trader.

On the above mentioned thread I'm also planning to keep an MT4 broker listing, that is MT5 broker free.

Im using a martindale system, that does hedging and I would like to know if I'll be impacted ?
Question: If I've a MT4 today, does the broker can make me switch into mt5, even if I dont need ?

Be cautioned!!! MQ redesigned MT5 to enable back end entry to end users that were leading EA#8217;s source codes running.

If u're US based Broker adapting to new NFA regs your customer base is about shrink. When this goes, your Capitolization requirements will also be in question. Then to be followed by most angry customer posts (since the quality of your service diminishes)before bankruptcy settlement.Good bye American Forex as we had to know it. Thank you again-you Grey suit morons -for intruding further into my life - NFA= Not For Americans! I shall stay with my Broker till they decide to offer you the MT5 as their sole platform. Of course I could be wrong but that would be the 1st time! -lol.
