Thread: IG Markets experiences/reviews?

Hey all,

anybody in here use IG (IG.com)? I'm considering making a CFD account together since they offer you a numerous number of tools to trade that I do have a demo account together.

Has anyone had any experience using there live account ? Apart from the reviews I have read I had been expecting to get a discussion ? Is it true as a market maker that they move after your ceases and expand your spreads once you start having a success rate ? (This is precisely what I have read online, not certain if its true or not).

Also has there been some issues withdrawing your Capital from them for your bank account ?

Been with IC for over 3 decades now, analyzed TONS of different brokers. In my view there the best. Global Prime comes in second place in my book. Spread on IC is ease of carrying out capital and depositing, merely the finest. As for MM, I think 99 percent of brokers are Market making you in some manner, Perhaps Lmax or something are adequate but if your failing at trading that's not the reason...I can never remember a time where IC did something weird to my mt4, any moment I lost I know it was my own stupidity.

I had been comparing the spreads on my NZDCHF and AUDCHF on my IG markets account and they look very wide (compared to what my fellow traders in my focus groups are getting with different brokers)
I'v been advised to try asking IG for tighter spreads by offering to pay commissions per trade instead

additionally, I am getting such invalid stops and take profits once I attempt to take new transactions (pls see attached screenshot, I am buying, not selling btw)
I have emailed their support asking for help. Has anybody come across similar problems?

Are you talking about IC or IG trigger my threads around IG Markets.

I saw that lol. If it helps I've been live with IG for more than ten decades in the UK. Every week withdraw and it's in the account following day. Sure you get slippage but that's part of this sport.

I spreadbet with them as gains from UK are tax free. Do have a cfd account.

One issue I have with IG markets that trading their currency pairs that demand Swiss Francs require a much bigger stop loss in contrast to most currency pairs ( min. 5%)

They win when you lose the profits they make are down to punters currently losing their stakes against/with them, they all have zero incentive for you to be successful, they are a bookmaker that is financial. According to the FCA circa 90 percent of CFD spread betting customers lose. But if you want to spread bet they are the very best of the bunch that is bad.
