Backtesting with any JPY pairs crashed the account.

That is why I closed ALL POSITIONS and began anew for my first Low Risk account.

I didn't test ahead... and over two days, the negative equity due to JPY pairs was so high that I gotten shocked and quickly perform a backtest.

You shouldn't ever trade JPY pairs with Martingail as JPY pairs are viewed as runners and may run two or three 100 pips.

Actually a few hundred pops with space 50 pips between orders isn't so bad but the issue is that any pair can trend: consider CAD pairs nowadays. Look at the aus/usd nowadays. No pair is immune

Unfortunately Found a bug using version 1.4. In two three currency pairs that the EA took identical transactions (0.03 and 0.05) Always buy or sells(identical respecting the martingale sequence) at small distance in pips and time in another. This is not good because it collects unneeded drawdown .and it could prevent a higher lot to close once the pullback is ongoing. It has to be tracked in case and also the surplus trade closed manually.also it could be closed manually when a little profit or a bit in loss.... This may (I say could) bring trouble

I will go on observing more or less independently lol since I think that it s worth it.

A different forum member here (zakgr I believe ) stated that to trade this EA with a typical account (1:100 leverage) we need 1000 $ \ currency pair traded. Well I think his statement isn't so far from reality. Drawdown can become fairly pretty big and lets say you've got 6 pairs.

A move of 300 -400 pips if you use settings space 50 between transactions and from trade 5 to trade 6 (0.18 lots )you use 100 pips will set you back about 700 euros or more\pair. Of course you must be very unlucky to have 6 pairs trending consistently but it can occur and you can tendency even more and give you problems with margin. Aud\usd needed a massive move these last two weeks which seriously scared me. Fortunately jobs report was not so great and aud went . If you've got 1000 $ \pair you are surely guaranteed to feel choked lol. This is a manner of trading maybe not for everybody and you realize it when you trade it live. I still think that it s worth it for the risk\reward ratio but it has to be tracked and you have to understand it is indeed risky. MM is significant and certainly you dont want trades more than 0.27 lots thats mad....Good fortune everybody

I agree Lucas, as a rule of thumb of a functioning martingale egy, the most crucial part will be the Money management, and 1000 usd each pair is the least you will need for running reside. Non black Swan event effect expected. If you put 1000 on GBp most probably you won't get thru Brexit. Keep an eye on major occasion and prepare enaugh bullet to container normal news, withdraw constantly to decrease risk, finally every mart blows.
