EA button question?

Thread: EA button question?

  1. #1
When employing the MT4 platform, when I have an EA open on 5 pairs on 5 different charts and I wish to open another pair/chart, can I switch the EA button onto the toolbar in the top of screen to'away', before loading the EA chart template? Will it affect the other 5 receptive charts and switch them off also?

The rationale I'd wish to switch the EA button 'away' is the tpl I load will probably have a different emblem to the one for the new chart I am setiing up, so when EA button is'on', it could immediately open a trade for a pair I don't need, once loaded.

When are you most likely to use the EA button? In the event you leave it in the'on' place when you own EA's running? (which might appear obvious, but worried re initial loading of new chart).

    TIA

I am not completely sure about this but I believe if you switch the EA button away then it'll turn off all EA's that are running within MT4. It is possible, however, switch off individual charts by clicking on the chart, highlighting EA then highlighting properties. If open, then assess allow live trading. Hope that will help some.

Thank you djudah to your very speedy reply and the trick info, which I will now utilize if loading a new EA tpl to a chart.

I hope someone can still answer the other half of my question.

Loading a template doesn't change the currency pair. I prefer to load up the chart setup with a template and then load on the EA separately. I use *.set files to load parameters if some of those EAs use exactly the same settings. If you want you will depart the EA button until you install all of the EAs how you want just recall as mentioned in the last post it will turn off all of the EAs.

You must leave the EA button all of the time as well as being on the net with the computer operating to have an EA operate properly. Many EAs are effected short term by switching them off for a few minutes. It depends on how they are written and the time of day,- whether they are in the middle of a timed trade setup . .
