    Cobra,

The Law of Integrative Complexity claims the person who can integrate and use the greatest amount of info in that area, shortly rises to the peak of that area.

So, you might be right, I might be right. . My aim however, is not to prove me right, nor to prove you wrong, my Aim is to make $$$$$ (Hold down Shift and press the number 4)

    Articles that are great Twoblink.

Nice to let us walk beside you in your own (forex) path.

Than Gann died as a man, twoblink, it is a misunderstanding. After Dr. Alexander Elder interviewed his son, who works as an analyst for a Boston bank, he found that Gann senior couldn't support his family from trading but earned his living by writing and selling courses.

Quote from Elder's book Trading for a dwelling page 23, 2nd paragraph:

When W.D.Gann expired in the 1950's, his estate, including his house, was valued sligthly over $100,000. The legend of W.D.Gann, the giant of gambling, is perpetuated by those who sell courses and other paraphernalia to gullible clients.

    End quote.

    Good luck with your quest.

    I didn't know that!! Thanks!

So Gann died a bad man? The most played game in the world's history, didn't get a single cent. That does not mean I really don't appreciate the genius of everything he created.

As for Gann, I do not use his things.

The more things I study, along with the more things I try, the increased chance I will have of succeeding...

I can say is I am taking an active role in my future. That'll guarantee me a greater likelihood of success. And that's what is important. At the day's conclusion, I either press on buy or sell. I just want the support of probability. .

So Gann died broke. So what.

Jesse Livermore committed suicide. So what.

Can either of those deter us from trading? Hell no!

Twoblink, you keep right on posting as you have already been, and dig as deep as you would like.

Personally, I'd rather not see anyone but you post on your journal as it merely distracts from the flow of your thoughts. If you need me to disable this post, PM me.

Thx for helping me out on the Gann narrative.

inside this forum I am a junior member. I know when they think you're a junior, people don't take notice. I am not a junior from the forex business.

Please do not understand me wrong. To research and to study these markets is natural for anyone who wants to earn a living from it. There's not anything wrong in teaching yourself.
All I am trying to say is : Do not dig too deep for answers. Many have tried it before you. It is like attempting to re-invent the wheel....
In this exact same forum an australian trader clarified through experience how the trading channels and banks are investing contrary to the small traders. ( traders like me and you) If you exchange only specialized the chances are against you since the big men in this company understands where your stops are, they know your trading egies and they use it again and again.
Rather than searching for the ultimate trading methodology rather look for something to outsmart the big guns. When you alter your thinking to do that you will see while searching for the holy grail, things that you can't see.

A open mind with a strong business outlook did it. IT WORKS!!

    Dialist.. agreed!

So. . back to our regularly scheduled program. .

I've the deep personal belief in mathematics. . I believe you haven't really lived until you've learned calculus. Why? Because a guy just has to be able to answer the question is my shadow moving if the lamppost is 15 ft high, and I am walking at 4 miles per hour away from it? How? Calculus. Calculus is your buddy, mathematics is your buddy.

So with that said... What I've been working on for the past two hours. . Inflection points.

Ok, so I am digging WAY BACK to the back of my brain, for all the calculus classes I dropped asleep in. .

Crucial Point; Namely the Saddle point.

Also known as a mini-max that's kind of oxymoronic IMHO, it's however, a crucial point. It is INFLECTION OF TWO DIMENSIONS'S CRITICAL POINT.

When a bar chart gives me two items: namely price and time; Understanding in which the Saddlepoint is will inform me quite a little. Is, if time is a factor or a constant. On the 1 part, I wish to say it is a factor, because N because X, provides me a moving thing which means it is a factor. But on the other hand, the 4Hour chart is that, 4 times per bar, very constant. . So I am at battles with it.

If Time is a VARIABLE, then I am looking for the saddle point. .

If time is a CONSTANT, then I am looking just for the inflection point.

So I have started to write indiors which do nothing but indie crucial points of inflection. .

    HOWEVER,

Viewing a saddlepoint performed in 3D grid,

    http://www.math.ucla.edu/~ronmiech/C...9/IMG00005.GIF

That looks SOOOO Guppy Indior it is not funny! What exactly, I will be given point of inflection by Guppy??

Guppy Indior for visual contrast. .

    Given 810 MA's of different span;
    Conjecture which delta(MA(n) vs MA(n 1))
the rate of change on every corresponding MA's will tell me rise or drop speed, letting me predict (possibly) that an inflection point. If that which is CONVERGING I can predict point of inflection at present rate. (Kind of like figuring out just how quickly your shadow is moving) it is just 1st order Derivative. How about 2nd Order then? 2nd order Derivative, which is Concavity which I knew I could compute. .

Grr. . Turning in circles. .

Wait, even if I took the MA, and suppose it was the 1st order derivative of someone (namely price). .

Then can I, in concept predict what the price should be and compute the offset of the target price vs the true price?

Integral (EMA(X)) N = Price. Where N is the offset.

But what exactly do I do with the price cancel? How can understanding the Yen should be in 112.10 right today vs 112.30 right today, help me? It is 20 pips too large?? But wait, MA is a LAGGING indior, I can't assume it is right, it had been it ain't right. . How do you compensate for the lag? Or do you not? When we have two~3 factors, we could draw a point, that jobs out to the future, which line could be our forecast. Given two~3 traces, we could set then threshold constraints of that when broken, means the start of a fashion. OR, it signifies one's ending. .

Or does it allow us to search for tops and bottoms? Point of inflection, is that isn't it?

    Cobra..

Pretty much, I think you chose these quotes below from friends of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Wiles...
If you don't know who Andrew Wiles is, google him. Or better yet, I've linked him. .

When I loe the Secret Sauce, I will state, as http://www.coralcastle.com/ did, I've discovered the secret and you may, like everybody else did at the moment, poo poo all over the concept, because you believe that since you can not loe the secret, then little ol' Twoblink can not possibly find the secret. . And I will respond as Edward did. . I shall take it with me to my grave.

Thanks for the kind words of discouragement; but please, this is _MY_ journal, and thus this will be the final time I respond to your articles.

Many have tried, many have failed. That's true with everything. You'd have discouraged him I'm sure, if Bill Gates told you he wanted to become a Billionaire.

Try again. Fail again. Fail BETTER. (Beckett)

The world needs more who encourage, not discourage. You're junior due to the width of your thinking, although you are Junior maybe not due to the number of your articles. .

    So,

once more, I needed to break my nice stream of thought to answer stupid discouragements. .

So, I programmed at a pitch indior (no, I'm not sharing. .) And it is working well.

But if it is just rocking back and forth on the inflection point, it is creating too many false signals.

So, if the Military is correct, I gotta FILTER FIRST.

After Filtering, it is rather nice!!

The problem is, I'm in late, and out late. .

So my perfect indior, I would like it to be laggy. . I want the lag to coincide with the confirmation of a trend break or an new trend. . Get it? So controlling the lag, seems to be somewhat problematic. . Because a lot of scenerios for any 1 equation to take care of. .

Or is it? I'm wondering since I when the information is your price and the price is the data and the equation is based on the price, which means the equation is based on the most current and relavant information, then all should be known by it. .

    I need one of these:

    as an indior...
