In my experience, if you risk 1/1000th of your account balance, you stand a fantastic opportunity to fight.
Thus, if you've got $10,000 account, your complete open position should not be higher than 1 standard lot.

Likewise, if you've got a drawdown of higher than 20 percent then you're heading for a disaster.
