    Only one of the out there questions which surfaced when I was looking at NG.
    Innigeriaforextradingbelow NG Specs, then intonigeriaforextradingNotes it says:

    While this can be a US indior, it affects the loonie due to Canada's large energy sector

    What is the loonie ??

    However,....why is it called loonie? I understand why cable is cable and kiwi is kiwi.

    It's called the Loonie due to the Great Northern Loon (a bird) or something like that. It use to be (and maybe still is) on their coins.
    Many people believe it's since the currency moves around like a lunatic. That's can also be true.

    Perhaps the Loonie is slang for what could have been a classic French currency; as at the Louy - AKA the Louis D'or ?

    The canadian dollar or some other currency with the image of george bush riding a unicorn. .

    This is why, and the only reason we call our dollar a loonie.

    It's CAD, also loonie is the duck bird commonly lived in Canada. All these are beautiful bird.

    The first time I heard it it was a Canadian newspaper seller in Montreal that advised me that a magazine was 5 loonies.

    The dollar coin is called the Toonie.
    It's got a polar bear and, of course, the Queen.
