Thread: NAS100 NASDAQ100 ONLY (ND and NQ Futures and CFDs)

  1. #1
Thought I'd begin this thread since there hasn't been a thread devoted to NAS100 trading . There are currency threads, DAX, DOW and even SP500 threads, but this is the only thread onnigeriaforextrading*. With the great number of traders here and with foreign brokers offering CFDs on NAS100 futures too, there must be traders here that love trading NAS100.

Here is your place to post your ideas and trades.

Usual caveats apply. Do not use this thread. Moderator and posters aren't responsible for anyone's losses. Trade responsibly, with risk capital you can afford to lose.

Last but not least, anything that faintly gets the aroma of SPAM will be flagged and manhood will be banned and reported tonigeriaforextradingwithout warning.

    3 easy requests and reminders:

    1. Nas100 related posts only.

    2. Respect your fellow trader. Here will be cause for banishment.

    3. No nonsense, or anything that smells of spam. It is obvious if you're currently trying to market something though you might claim you are not, so don't do it.

Some traders are trading CME futures, others might be trading CFDs dependent on the futures. Please recognize that the information of every will likely be close but not accurate and usually off by 0.25 to 1.00 based on whether the poster is trading CME or CFD. Please realize that there might be a- few ticks posting or differential when reading.

    Why futures?

    1. Better volatility compared to Dow futures and SP500 futures. More money on the table that can be grabbed.

    2. Centralized exchange price information. Even with broker created CFDs, since price information is centered and traded on a real exchange and according to 100 high cap stocks, price information for the underlying is harder to control, less likely to spikes and disperse is usually not off by more than 2 or 3 ticks if trading the CFD futures and usually only 1 tick whether trading the CME futures.

    3. NAS100 futures like the other US stock indices are a fantastic proxy for USD currencies. NAS goes upward, EURUSD is a pretty good sign or indiion of USD fx moves that are possible and vice versa goes down. Today is a good example. . .when NAS went upward, EURUSD beginning falling (in favour of USD) around the same time period, a confirmation of both transactions, and increased profits if both transactions are taken.

    4. Tracking USD fx and a couple of popular NAS100 stocks like the ones below can provide you a hint about prospective price movement:

    Apple (AAPL) #8211; 14.60%
    Microsoft (MSFT) #8211; 7.40%
    Amazon (AMZN) #8211; 3.84%
    Google (GOOG) Class C #8211; 3.50%
    Facebook (FB) #8211; 3.41%

Nonetheless newbie to it, approximately 1-2 transactions every day, some days none. While I am getting more acquainted with NQ most remain in ES. Using the same system as with 15/30s EU (Raghee Horner 34 Wave Ema some more MA's) but on 3x larger non time based TF's now (1x renko, 2x range, 1x 30m). I am using confirmation on all 3 non-time charts to enter plus EU ES charts (sup/res). Splitting session to overnight - 9:30am NY (my favorite due to lower volatility) NY open-close, not touching it involving NY open - London near (11:00am). My playground that I am still tweaking for the best settings:

#8203;Nikkei is also among the indiors Which will decide the Tendency of Nasdaq Particularly Once You Find a gap in Nikkei opening hours

Last couple of months I created a modified s/r indi which I am testing/using as micro fashion and undo rather than reverse and stop. I'm now analyzing it within an EA and working on creating it MTF readable within the EA. . .this is the growth of the volatility traces that are crazy that I was posting in the ribbon . The indi can be corrected to work on any instrument, but now the NAS100 is simply wonderful.

That trade today that I announced here in this time:
    https://www.nigeriaforextrading.com/...g-systems.html

Only closed from the EA in 4327.50 to get 64.25 (which is the maximum optimized profit per transaction for the current preferences). Would have/Should have shorted EURUSD in the same time but am focused on ensuring exits and this trades programmed. Now waiting for entry.

I trade E-Mini Nasdaq on Ninja trader.

Emini NQ is easier than ES SP500 since the pip (point) value is only $5 against $12.50 on the SP. (a 0.25 of a point)
Much easier on the nerves when the DD gets somewhat big.
I only use one indior. It is the closest I can get into the Halftrend I utilize on MT4. EMA14 smoother although equivalent.

Looks as if you are using a 4 hour chart there basically. NQ can move a lot in 4 hours these days.

The 5mn chart is my favorite for this symbol and 1mn also, but sometimes 1mn will chop out some good long half day moves.

Short scalp/swing coming soon I believe...

EURUSD could have pivoted up. . .looking to short here shortly already down 3.0 from observing time, awaiting an additional indi to confirm.

NOW SHORT at 4314 even (guide scalp)

    Placing hard stop at 18.5
