Thread: Printing pip number on chart

  1. #1
    Hi,

    I'm teaching myself MQL4 and got the attached indior to perform (iGap). It pulls up and down arrows when a gap occurs over a specific pip amount (SizeGAP). What I'd love to add to it's for it to print onto the chart by the down or up arrows the size of this gap (amount of pips). I am able to declare something like:

    double Range = MathAbs(PrevClose - CurrOpen);

    but I can not see how I could print this worth by the arrows on the chart. Can anyone please help?

    Thanks

    There are 2 objects - OBJ_TEXT and OBJ_LABEL that allow you to annotate the chart. I believe OBJ_LABEL is more suited to your purposes since you want to annotate the gap, whereas OBJ_TEXT would place the annotation at some spot on the chart in terms of X and Y pixels.
