Good question, how many of you here think you have a real advantage that will allow you to end up winning at the end of the road? Is anyone encouraged to share in what your advantage is? Whether it’s intuition, mastery of technical analysis or fundamental knowledge. My advantage is that I am able to find and take advantage of safe trading opportunities... or at least that’s what I like to think.

I believe that my greatest strength as a trader is to know my limits well. I know when I am emotional and when I must get away from the market. Combining that with discipline, risk management and a good understanding of the price, I consider that I have an advantage even compared to some institutional ones. I see it reflected in my results.

This requires time and the ability to tune into the collective consciousness of the world. You need to think like most to anticipate the movement of price. Infrastructure is needed: satellite TV, real-time news, interbank spreads, multiple monitors, clear mind, no personal problems, good caffeine, etc. And of course, risk management.

Do we come to a conclusion with this question?

To say that you find operations without risk scares me. In forex, zero risk does not exist. My advantage is the management of money. Whatever happens, good management always leaves me alive to fight another day. It is better to be a risk manager than a miracle hunter.

Breaks, add to winning positions and capital management. That's my formula.
"No risk"? Really? Does that mean that you have a 100% success? If that were true, then the Holy Grail of trading exists and you have it locked.

Tests out of sample and statistical analysis because the breakup of a wave doesn't explain the whole ocean.
Could you detail those sources of information you mention? I’m intrigued by the secret services and advance news.
He speculates as if he were the Nostradamus of central banks. Better ask him practical things: what time frame does he use? How does the stop miss place? What risk/benefit ratio does he handle?

Come on, encourage yourself to tell it! We are all interested in hearing what you have to say. Maybe we discovered something useful in the middle of so much talk.

I would never reveal my advantage in a public forum. Knowledge is power, and power is kept.
My advantage is to have a solid strategy with a good profit factor and, above all, to follow it to the letter without betraying it.
Yes, I have an advantage, and I know that many here do not have it. It is not a magical system, but it has logic. I look for operations with a risk/benefit ratio of at least 1:4. Even if I lose 70% of the time, the winners pay everything.

It may sound ridiculous, but my advantage comes from a mystical object that allows me to see an hour in the future. I received it as a reward for saving an old man on a remote island. Yes, it sounds crazy... but the market is too.

My advantage is to understand the human factor in fundamental and quantitative analysis. Knowing how the mass reacts gives me a step forward.
I swear you made me laugh about the mystical artifact, but if you attract more gullible traders to the market, better for those of us who already know how to beat them.

I don't know if it's considered an advantage, but operating the obvious has made me earn enough. I don't need to get so complicated when the market screams what it's going to do.

My advantage is to say only the right thing and listen more. I use the basics to choose direction, but I go in and out with technical analysis.
I also think I can find safe operations, although many will say that this is impossible, for me it is a matter of perspective.

Is "quantitative trading" the same as technical analysis? It’s a question I always had.

When you see something evident in the graphics and everyone ignores it, there's your advantage. Don't underestimate the power of the simple.
Most people lose because they can't stand still when there's nothing clear. I learned to wait. And believe me, waiting patiently is harder than getting into an operation.
I don't know if I have an advantage, but I have something that few cultivate: humility. That has saved me more times than any strategy. When I don't know, I don't operate. And when I lose, I learn.
My edge is simple: to find high probability patterns in liquidity zones and execute them with surgical discipline. There is no magic. Just a formula repeated hundreds of times without breaking my rules.
I don't understand why so many of them fill their mouths talking about impossible edges. If they were really so good, they wouldn't be here sharing them for free, would they?
My advantage is that I don’t get carried away by FOMO. If I’m not inside, it doesn’t hurt. That allows me to make better decisions without anxiety.
Few will admit it, but most lose out of sheer impatience. My advantage is that I learned to wait for the exact moment. Not before, not after.
My advantage is psychological. Mastering the mind is mastering the market. The strategy is secondary. Self-control is what separates the profitable trader from the self-destructor.
What makes me different is that I treat trading as a business. I don’t get excited, I don’t get frustrated. I follow my plan and check my data.
My edge? Don’t read forums looking for other people’s edge. I work in silence. Of those who talk the most, the less they win.
Use price action with key levels and strict risk management. Nothing more. I don’t need colorful indicators or esoteric theories. The price already says everything.
My advantage is experience, more than 10 years watching the same mistakes repeat themselves, and the best thing: taking advantage of others to keep making them.
My edge is that I don't think I'm the smartest. That keeps me away from overconfidence, which is the greatest enemy in this game.
The price without volume is like a map without compass. When you see the actual flow, you understand who moves the market and why.
I don't have a fixed edge. What I have is the ability to adapt. What serves today may not serve tomorrow. That's the only constant in this game.
What gives me the advantage is that I'm not trying to be right, I'm just trying to be on the right side of the move.
I operate with macro data and expect reactions at key levels. I do not operate the news, I operate the reaction to the news.
My edge is that I operate less than five times a week. I only enter if everything is aligned. That reduces errors and improves quality.
My advantage is that I learned to get out quickly when I'm wrong. Many insist on being right and end up with the fried account.
I use statistics. My system is tested with thousands of data. I do not rely on intuitions, but on proven results.
My edge is that I left the social trading networks. The less noise I consume, the better I do.
I follow an algorithmic system, but I operate it manually, thus combining the accuracy of the system with human flexibility.
I have three rules and I never break them: wait, run, get out. When I stick to them, the count grows. When I don't... you know.
My advantage is not in the entrance, but in the subsequent management. Most have no plan after entering. I do.
The market is an information war. My edge is to know how to interpret the dominant narrative. I operate what everyone thinks, before they realize that they are thinking about it.
My advantage is that I have lost enough to learn what not to do. After burning three accounts, I understood that the real edge is not to repeat mistakes.
I don't get distracted by indicators or external signals. I follow a simple structure based on market order. If I get out, I get out. If it goes on, I let go.
