As they say, trading is 90 percent Pyschological.
I agree 110 percent with that statement.
I'd love to share my experience with you , and I am looking for some feedback. I'm curious if my current trader plogy is similar to other beginners.
It's been two weeks since I started researching forex.
I hate paper trading, I believe you could learn the most if actual cash is risked. Naturally I began small. So 1 PIP = $2.5.
I have $5650 within my portfolio, of which $5000 is in an equity.
I'm currently testing the 4hr trading system posted by Philip. MACD signals are used by it. I'm comfortable placing 50 pip stops.
Anyways the plan was to make a trade through the nighttime, put my stop, go to bed, and determine what happens in the morning.
However. I'm getting some nervousness, and anxiety. Althought I intended to test only a few times daily, I CANNOT remove my eyes.
As an instance I placed an order last night, long EUR. I didn't go to bed untill 3 AM and I got up at 9 am to see my order. I didn't sleep well .
I believe I need more confidence. And my current anxiety/stress is a result of my inexeperience. (only two trades)
I want FOREX to be on the BACK of my mind. However I think of it alot during the day. I hope as it did with trading equities, through time my preferred trading plogy will develop. (I experience 100 times LESS pressure in Stock market trading, even though I'm risking the exact same amount of cash ).
Anyways I thought I'd tell you guys about my experience, and I would like to hear about yours, did you experience similar negative mental states when initially startingt out?
I feel that this is the most important part of trading, no purpose in trading whether it's likely to make a large amount of pressure in ones life.
Cheers.
