NFP and rumors around

Really that large?

I'm trading cable in the time so that I didn't know the real-time spread for EUR. I got the figure from the spread website of Oanda. I checked back the website and discovered I was wrong because the chart showed 15pips spread. The chart I'm guessing has a fixed y-range therefore the spread can't be properly represented with the chart. I did observe the eur/usd create the 25pip spread however, the chart maxes out at 15. The pound spread appears to have left the chart as well.

This NFP wasn't any different than any other. Its simple: use the broker, don't ever place straddles prior to the news, and follow along with market reaction. There is not any reason not to make 30 to 50 pips fairly. It takes patience and knowing when to execute. Do not blame your broker (except Oanda in this case) for you failing to have a powerful egy. I hear this every NFP and it amazes me people don't know there platform will do.
Know your broker? Yeah right, the rules all change each month.
