Money management calculations

Hey, I am somewhat new to FX trading (1 year and half), and I am really interested in understanding how do you approach MM. What are the calculations that you employ if you do it manually. The only MM principle I understand (and the most obvious) is to not trade more than 2-3% of account, that is fairly straightforward: 2%-3% * account dimensions and you are done! What about position size?stop losses/take profits? . . .etc. Do you use a software? If so, what are the advantages apart from automating your task?
This is an important point to discuss since cash management is more significant than anything else, since it can help to protect and grow account
