I tell folks. That usually ends the conversation fast.

People tend to stop asking you questions afterwards.

It has happened a few times to me lately:

Friend: What exactly are you doing today?

Me: I am a trader.

Friend: Oh a coach, a coach of what?

Me: No, a trader, as in the stock market.

Thing is thoughI don't trade on the stock market, and most people don't know what the foreign currency market is.

So, how do you briefly explain to folks exactly what it's that you do? Should I just attempt to pronounce the word'trader' a little more slowly next time?
