MT4 News Calendar Indicator

I've been focusing on this news indior and it's currently developed enough to talk about.
I've also added a beta version of my breaking news indior for you to play . Data from the forum weekly calendar is refreshed hourly to ch any mid-week calendar updates from FF. Events can be filtered by impact, currency and egory. A table of current and upcoming events may be displayed in a choice of two widths and may be put anywhere on the chart. Lines may be plotted on the chart to mark events that were past. Mouse over the lines to see details. Audible alarms can be configured to utilize any WAV files on your directory that was MT4/sounds.
Indior inputs

TableTitle....Table heading. Multiple tables may be displayed on the exact same chart by giving each a different name
NarrowTable....Narrow abbreviated display

TableNumEvents....Table size
TableLookAheadHrs....Time (hours) that future events are displayed
TableHorizAlign....Horizontal table placement. Indent from left (pixels), or indent from directly if negative, or centred if zero.
TableVertAlign....Vertical dining table placement. Indent from top (pixels),or from the bottom if damaging.
TableSubWindow....Chart subwindow to place table.
TableBackground....Show dining table background.

DisplayVertLines....Turn on vertical line display
VLineMaxPeriod....Maximum chart time period to show vertical lines e.g. place to 15 to show lines on timeframes M15 and reduced.
VLineLookAheadMns....Time (moments ) that future events are shown on the chart

DeleteCacheAtStart....Deletes the stored calendar and forces a refresh at startup. Set to False for regular operation.


Please note the indiors are FREE, and are consequently supplied on an'as is, take-it-or-leave-it, use-at-your-own-risk' foundation.

Known issue: Opening the object properties dialog for the indior's objects may cause MT4 to crash. Workaround: Do not do it!

Just load to an chart with a decent Number of ticks EURUSD for instance. Then that may be your issue, In case you have a connection that is rubbish.

Switching to Daily FX works on any version of the indior. Problem is FF connection.
There are bunch of other indiors which use FF connection and there's absolutely no issue. That I have no clue, this indior has difficulty with FF. It has to work for everybody....that is exactly what I can say as an user.

Internet work flawlessly good on everything else so why wouldnt work for this specific indior? I use just 1.08a that Newbrk v007 I don't use, no demand.

90953i only found out about https://www.mql5.com/en/code/15931 calendar. As it is the source code you can edit to your liking ie I changed it to reveal more than five events (search for'lt;5' in the code). The fonts and colours are fine and may be edited in column spacing as well as code

there's 1 difficulty with FFC, however, on fridays some of those news events become replicated, it sounds something to do with how it's programmed while the end of the week approaches perhaps? Refreshing the chart will reset it and remove those events for a moment, and since it's just on fridays it might be overlooked but hopefully it is an easy correction somebody may explore

also I see in the code it's made to upgrade every hour with the option in inputs to place how many hours, but a simple change may make it upgrade whenever one likes ie I set it to upgrade in minutes with the option in inputs for how many minutes

need to stop posting without doing all of the tests, sorry: I had compiled it to display ten events however that was also messing with the display so the items would not delete once the indi is removed. I changed it to display 9 events and it is ok

and the errors from the above post went off when the'conceal after (minutes)' parameter was set to whatever beneath 53 minutes for some strange reason. This newly compiled version has it set to 50

also I do not think upgrading every second is essential therefore I changed it to update by the hour

if anybody uses the variant I modded remember since I left it show more occasions there is presently a minor error at the end of the week ie on fridays, where after the news is released it's going to print duplies of some events from earlier in the afternoon. Not a major concern since it requires a refresh of the chart to clear them. Would be a fix

The lib is developed so it's quite simple to work with, using the OOP features of MQL4. Here's a practical example of using with an EA...

I get this 1-3 times a day.This happens unexpectedly to all charts on one of the MT4 but at precisely the same time no difficulty on other MT4.I only wait couple hours, sometimes it fixes automatically.I shift to FF into DailyFx some MT4 fixes but no modification on the other MT4.It is very unstable.Anyone understand how to prevent this or new update version?

Delete cache at start, 106378Found one option set to reboot and accurate MT4.
Also discovered that this indior can make your MT4 slow when cache at start is set to true.

Awaiting see the version that does not need to reboot and allow it to be slow.

The impact colour and disabling low impact doesn't work still but when I place the alert into 0min, it alerted 1 minute. Prior to the event.
I figure its the most stable version of the news indior for the time being.

... I like it when FFC shows 9 lines of news. But the Wed, Aug 9 title line is at the center, instead of on top of news lines. And that my news font is than yoursall grey, and changing font size that is info doesn't influence anything.
It's not just your version, the first FFC version is like this, also.

I've the same No further matching events issue too for the last few days. I've tried upgrading to the latest version (1.08a) but no modification. Fiddled with preferences etc but are unable to resolve. Seems like something has shifted with the FF feed.

Any ideas?

In case you have tried all the above the only other problems I know of that quit the calendar functioning are...


if you have just installed it you want to shut MT4 platform and restart it.

When you have any previous or alternative calendar versions installed, they must be eliminated as there is a battle and the platform has to be restarted.


If that does not work.... The file error means it is tech tech problem with MT4 and calendar, then try deleting all calendars then restarting MT4, then download/install into mql4/indior file, then restart mt4 together with the settings most frequent error is not ticking the DLL box and/or not restarting the platform.

close down MT4 platform and restart it. In case you have any previous or calendar versions they must be removed as there is a conflict and the platform must be declared. If this does not work.... The document error means it is tech tech problem with MT4 and calendar, then consider deleting all of calendars subsequently restarting MT4, then download/install into mql4/indior document, then restart mt4 with the settings most frequent mistake isn't ticking the DLL box and/or not restarting the platform. The Newscal_v108a doesn't work for me either.I've tried most of thing, either daily and FF.I attempted deletecacheatstart but will make your MT4 slow.Might be crushing with my additional indior or that I don't understand.

I use FFC rather,its way better today.

is the clock on the 108a window right? When it is it should be putting the vertical lines in your time zone, which is right time for the news event timing, the broker time may differ from the real time zone, mine does by two hours so 108a adjusts to my own period not the broker time or the news event lines will be out of sync.

Perhaps this has caused some confusion as it automatically adjusts.

It is correcting the lines to where they need to fall according to my broker's clock. That is what I desired in FFC, it places the vertical lines according to your computer time zone but not the broker time zone. That results in the lines to fall in the wrong location on the platform chart. Luckily, this is not the case now. Thank you for your help.

no problem have been using this calendar because'euclid' was kind enough to first post this at no cost.

Yes, 108a can have battles with other news calendars even previous versions still being set up.

You are able to clean the'cache' in the base of this'common' tab that will eradicate a lot of issues also as there may be some documents in there from from the other calendar as well.

If it's not that then ensure your other sounds about the mt4 platform are working, if they are then sorry I understand exactly what the matter is different than to fully uninstall then re-install cal 108a, other calendars may result in conflicts even the prior 107 so be sure all are flashed.... The cache is cleared by And also at the bottom of the inputs tab on 108a.

These are the default settings and operate fine on mine with all the alarm going on news release.

Can it be possible to add one more attribute to the news indior Newscal-v108 in order that whenever the news will be released it will display the color of the true impact either Green or Red when it displays the Currently event?

I mean the Now will exhibit in Green color only in the event the news release is better for the currency and will show in Red color if the news is worse to the currency. The colors are accessible forum calender and therefore, I think it is possible to retrieve the Green or Red color.

The main idea is to use it to setting instant BUY or SELL orders based on the colors of the Now

I will really appreciate this if you can apply this on the indior and upload the new indior file here.

Common issues are......

Have you ticked the'allow dll's' box?

Perhaps you have restarted the platform after installing the file?

Have got another news calendar installed, there could be a conflict, uninstall the others.

Have you tried clearing the 'cache'?

All this is posted with directions a couple pages back if you aren't sure what to do.

no, not at the current variant 108a. As you state someone (actually a couple of individuals ) have re-coded/modified this calendar to do that, take a look around at different versions/modifiions, just google mt4 calendar indior plus a few will develop.

Should I use this indior on one chart? I created a template which the calendar is comprised on and using it on several pairs. I am noticing my platform slows down. I keep getting an error message failed to download. Does anyone know what that is?

it doesn't enjoy being conducted on multiple receptive charts at precisely the exact same time, it causes the issues you're experiencing.

Not used the sterile mq4 but guessing it is a blank chart template to place the calendar on.
