No charts for me this week...I'll be cooking those pips!!!
I'll be barbecuing those bulls which were slaughtered.
How can my fellow traders aim on trading this past week? It depends on price action/volatility

I plan on being far collecting capital from relatives, in the computer . It is a vicious cycle? Needing money to generate money and all...
I don't remember any major upset during thanksgiving week the last few decades, but remember that this is a market. It isn't the NYSE. Thanksgiving is a US only holiday, the US session could be slow Thursday but I wouldn't alter your trading a lot unless you simply need more time with family. Thats always well worth it.
If anything watch out for a terrible Black Friday at the US market or some other upset concerning the day after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving night, last year, beginning at 16:00 E.T. GBPUSD took off like a bat out of hell along with also the move lasted through the end of the year. I recall it and have looked back in my trading diary.
Markets can be transferred more and more easily through these times, since there's much less liquidity, since there are less players.
Top US economical indior will be determinded the day after thanksgiving by estimating the crowds (or lack of) of girls gathered before the shops two hours until they open so they could fight, claw and bite their way into 70 percent off shopping. In case the parking lots are full, then the economy must do great, if they are vacant FEAR AND PANIC WILL GRIP THE MARKETS, OH NO!!!!!
One should watch the behavoir of girls shopping on this afternoon, it's truely hiliarious and at precisely the same time reafirms the fact that yes, women really are mad.

Markets can be moved more violently and more easily through these times, because there is far less liquidity, because there aren't any players. Boy, I remember it too! I had been sitting long on both euro and sterling. . .still moist as I could be supporting my ears (it is still pretty moist back there). Friggin' market went ballistic - !
Next trade I stated Cool, let's do so and the markets said Okay, sounds fun!
In 1 week my small half-blown newbie $230 account was around $4000!
But like I said, I was a newbie. Thought I could continue doing the same thing (longing the pound) and I would keep getting the same results. I was back down to $200 couple weeks later. der....
Did I mention my cash management was horrendus?

I remember too top up to continue thanksgiving - made a couple of pips here a few pips there and believed - market is dead let me eat and go. The second I took my eye off the screen and laid it on the alcohol and food, well.... Look back and see.

The gift america can perform the world is intervene the currency, is inducing pain on taxpayers pockets around the world where our goverments that are cattle wish to still be pegged to the dollar to diplomatic reasons.
Hence we the hard working taxpayers are suffering with inflation'made with america deficit'. :surprised
I don't recall any major mad during thanksgiving week the last few decades, but remember this is a global market. It isn't the NYSE. Thanksgiving is a US only vacation, the true US session may be slow Thursday but that I would not change your trading too much unless you simply need more time with family. Thats always worth it.
If anything watch out for a dreadful Black Friday at the US market or some other mad about the day following Thanksgiving. It may give you the unexpected so be mindful.

Happy Thanksgiving all.

If anything watch out for a terrible Black Friday in the US economy or some other upset relating to the day following Thanksgiving. This week is a black friday?
I doubt it will influence the market.
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. .
Will thanksgiving fall on wednesday and we are going to called it black thursday? Or Thanksgiving will probably always be on thursday?

Will thanksgiving collapse on wednesday and we are going to called it black thursday? Or Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is obviously the 4th Thursday of November (in the US). Black Friday is simply a term given to the shoppers that begin around their Christmas shopping 0500 today.

President http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt set the date for Thanksgiving to the fourth Thursday of November in 1939 (approved by Congress in 1941).

BTW, which was a very nice move on Eu and GU at the night, was not it? I hope everyone did well on the low liquidity... The move was definitely telegraphed.

OK, I will not make any opinions but it does have an interesting history. The holiday was created in 1863 by Abraham Lincoln. Roosevelt really tried to move the date to the 3rd to assist retailers by extending the Christmas shopping season. It caused quite a stir.
