I am NOT a fan of moving average systems, BUT....
It only occured to me, if you consider the weekly charts of all pairs, and place an MA 75, then there might be something there....
The idea is, to return over 10 years of W1, and loe the farthest away (in pips) that the price transferred off the MA before it retraced.
Armed with that info, once the price moved that far away in the MA again, you could imagine a retrace back to, say, the MA 40 or so.
Of course, you'd get burned if the price moved further off the MA than it did before.
I hope this makes sense.
PS) This keeps you from choppy markets, however, the weakness is in a strong trend continuation. I think running some stats on this could be useful.
