First I would like to say Hi to all of you. I have been lurking here for a week or so and I feel as though I'm studying a lot. I have been in and out of forex for a couple of years but I have never taken the opportunity to actually use myself and have really done nothing but lose a few bucks. I'm hoping to change all that shortly by studying just as much as I can before getting back into the mix.

I work through the day. I have decided that whatever system or method I follow needs to work primarily off the daily charts. I'm not likely to be able to watch charts every day and I'd love to simply put my transactions in through the evenings and forget about them till they hit takes or stops.

Here's exactly what I want in a broker.

1 - The ability to trade fractional lots. I want 10 penny pips. I know thats small but my cash management needs it for the sum that I can afford at this time.

2 - Web based trading software. I adore MetaTrader. It's fun and I'm used to it but unfortunately I cannot install appliions on my office pc so it's out.

3 - Charting that supports Weekly and Monthly granularity. When investing on the daily charts I like this higher degree of granularity to see longer term trends.

So far I have discovered OANDA (meets #1 and #2 but not #3) and FOREX.com (meets #2 and #3 but not #1) and unfortunately MetaStock brokers do not fulfill #2 but fulfill #1 and #3.

That is bothersome. Do some of youse people knew of a broker that meets all 3 of my standards?

Many thanks for any help!

Chartmonkey, welcome to the forum and hope you will enjoy your stay over here...

Check out FxSolutions, I believe they fulfill your standards although I am not positive if they fulfill all your 3 standards or not....

Thanks,

Nader

Up to now I have found OANDA (meets #1 and #2 but not #3) IMHO that is the correct decision you should do.
Fot the stage #3 you are able to use this (just as an example): http://www.fxstreet.com/nou/graph/streamingchart.asp

You ought to try neuimex - they offer miniature pips and metatrader.
