I began trading Median Lines May 2009. Prior to this I spent years trying to trade someone else's system, alas without success.

Creating my style re using the median point has demanded quite a lot of work and effort, I thought I'd abandon them at a single point. But with a few tweaks, I have found a way to use them which matches my personality.


Which are median lines?

No doubt median lines signify different things to different people, but for myself they do only 2 things:
1] provide low risk entries
2] provide high probability exits

*and very importantly, median lines are just useful when coupled with market structure; ie., I dont take a trade only because I've got a median line, I need solid market structure supporting the trade management first


timeframes traded: largely 240m and 60m; even though I will sometimes see a 15m chart
commerce occasions: generally, I search for trade set-ups from 0500GMT until 1200GMT
pairs: largely, GU, AU, EU, GJ, EJ, UJ, EA, GA

1] SL triggered at AU interest rate news release

notes: wouldn't mind watching a move down to 1.5870ish before end of week, and short entrance opportunity to go with it....will let the market decide
