    I am running 4.00 construct 204 (25 Apr 2007) on Alpari UK's platform.

Every time that I run now it prompts me to upgrade to construct 205 via. Well, this is fine, but a prompt appears after it downloads all the upgrades and I have to click on Update and Restart. It just hangs, although the button is depressed. Nothing upgrades or restarts. I have to kill the process. Any suggestions? I am running WinXP Pro SP2 with all current updates.

I was getting intermittent blue screen crashes with MT4 on the operating system. When changing s/l or anything like 11, Occasionally it would happen. Instances for no apparent reason. I had never seen XP crash ahead. I tried an XP repair installation, defragmentationmemory and a smoothed energy supply - non of which worked. I believe that it was because the installation was corrupt somehow. The machine ran a bit slower. I believe a complete reformat and re-install would have completed it. But I ended up buying a new machine since Forex is that important to me. While I get time I will reformat the older (3 years) notebook and maintain that as a spare.

MT have a very responsive support department but couldn't specifically assist me. I can't be more specific. .

I would suggest to download the whole platform once again from their site. If you reinstall the platform it will be up-to-date with no problems. (Only a suggestion - someone else may come up with something better)
