Thread: MBT or Pfgbest?

MBT or PFGBEST? All these are both I been looking at for my new broker,
they're my choises beacause they're ECN and they don't require a chance of opening a new acount,
the only issue now is, that one will suit me best?

I will be trading FX and rarely hold through the night. Moslty a tiny scalping here and there and occasionally Im in for the whole day, sometimes over night but quite infrequently,

somebody stated MBT are shutting their servers twice per day for support, is this true?

Also I worry somewhat about their leverage 50:1
can you still make decent money?

    Which one would you select?

Thank you to your input, which one do you think could be more cheap for my kind of trading?

    will you make adequate...
Have had live accounts with and my preference would be PFG. MBT is ok but are overrated. Their spreads can be overcome by other brokers, and if I traded together they had that absurd 10 minute disconnect about midnight EST and something at 5pm too. That may have changed now I really don't understand, but it was very odd as every other broker on the planet could somehow keep their platforms running during those times but MBT couldn't.

Anyway, PFG was consistently great to me; I used their Currenex and Best Immediate 8 platforms. For your sort of trading would be fine I think.

    Best wishes

MBT has not had the midnight maintenance downtime in over two decades. They only have the one at global rollover (5 pm EST) if all of the banks repay. MBT is my favorite by far, particularly in the event that you use their Desktop Pro platform. Their implementation is great and their new Pay for Limits offering will be trying for a different broker to touch, however, the actual reason to use them is all of the order types. They provide you a great deal more control than many brokers.

I use MBT too and there is but 1 server shutdown each day, which can be at global rollover. The platform is solid and affordable, and they only launched the new pay for limit orders, that can be seriously cool.

Oh I see. . .it's been a while since I had the account there, but great to know they have improved. I still think the 5pm shutdown is ridiculous though; I've never experienced that anyplace else, and I've used a lot of brokers.

MBT by far! You get compensated for limit orders today, can't beat that!

Thank you folks that are very much! I believe MBT may be very fine but I've desided to go with PFGBEST, I would like a stable broker and I don't believe I could stand daily shutdowns, I also have not heard from MBT even though I emailed them the same time 2 days ago, got a response from Patrick Steel out of Pfgbest straight away, fantastic man! And friendly! And he explained everything I wanted to know, I've a feeling I'll like it

No one cant beat that but they dont offer micro or mini accounts do they? You must trade with a minimal one lot (100k) position I think. When I have the funds to exchange that dimension Im in till then Ill stick with Oanda

I have just opened an account with PFG and so far I'm quite happy.
