Thread: Any brokers that support 5 and 30 second timeframes?

I was just wondering if anyone knows of some brokers that support these small timeframes. I've been research on a certain scalping method that makes references to high end trading but I am having trouble finding brokers that feed information on this level.

Thanks, I was looking at it when you replied. I'd setup a demo account with them a while back and forgot about it.

You are able to create any TF you want with MT4 (1 minute, 9 seconds, 3 hours, etc). https://www.nigeriaforextrading.com/...ar-candle.html

Can somebody recommend another broker, not Oanda, to exchange timeframes?

They are not accepting American customers , but should very soon be offering their solutions (white label?) Through FXDD and Alpari (US).

Btw, are you referring specifically to charting, or to really trading? If trading, optional or automatic?

For charting, lots of retail platforms offer tick charts - does that help?

You'd likely need a professional (non-retail) platform/access/latency to scalp high-frequency. Certainly not MT4. Or, write something and get the broker of your choice through its API (many brokers now offer these tools).

    Hi Purger,

FXCM has this feature on http://www.fxcm.com/automated-forex-trading.jsp. See picture below:

If there is a period you need which is not listed, it is possible to manually input it in at the top right of the platform at the Form a symbol/interval field. For instance, 176 minutes, etc..

They are not a broker, but really an interface to many other brokers.
Their demo environment is totally free.
    Good luck!

Oanda. Their original java based platform ( not MT4) contains 5s 10s 30s 1min etc.. Don't know if it's what your looking for, but you can try it on demo.

Yes, it's also accessible for a micro account. Just use the identical username/password you utilize for FXTSII platform to login to Strategy Trader. One additional thing, the platform does not support hedging. So if your account has hedging enabled, the hedging would need to be turned off through myfxcm.com first.
