Thread: New Broker Choice

  1. #1
So I have narrowed it down to 3 brokers that I am currently reviewing to go live with, any input will be appreciated, won't require any other broker advice not listed below, the reason is that I want to remain on target with my options.

    ATC Brokers
    MB Trading
    DBFX

Although I have done my homework,'d love to know any personal stories that have to do with slippage, platform freezes or requotes, of course anything else that could apply for the brokers listed above. Slippage that is during news doesn't disturb me as I have no intent of trading through news. I understand ATC is an IB for FXCM and every broker has its flaws, but I see this as a near race and need a tie breaker. I was hoping to get 100:1 but in this stage going 50:1 keeps it safer anyway. I have traded with 4 additional brokers and do not enjoy the slippage and platform freezes I have experienced. I utilize to scalp but today I'm a longer term trader so execution is significant but not likely to blow up anything if I overlook it by a pip or two. So whatever sensible about the 3 listed or recommendations from the three will be most helpful.

I tried a demo account with ATC once. Only issue I have with them is their commission is too high.

ATC is on FXCM however they're nevertheless an ECN and their feed is directly to MT4.

This is my thing with MB, what is the slippage like during ordinary conditions typical trading hours in a live account? I've heard terrible things about re-quotes and slippage, however they left it to my short list since I think those issues were probably during news or higher volatility, people just appear to post the bad.

Still if you have not exchanged with ATC, how can you be sure?

You shouldn't ever receive re-quotes using a true ECN...
