I dont know ibfx rather trusted? Maybe its only the server lagged? But this is my first time encountering this.
So that I'll only excuse this one. But if this happends again I may start looking into other broker.
NO!! Its mostly a newbie shop. Experienced FX traders avoid MT4 and the ones that use it like MB Trading, Oanda, ATC Brokers, FinFX and authentic ECN's off the top of my head. IBFX is a fantastic shop for everything but trading. (deposit, withdrawal, site, contests, freebies). They perform with the feed a bit. (at least they did when I was a customer and I don't hear them mentioned in serious FX conversations. Training Wheels.)Originally Posted by ;
I am going live with them later today. I can note that on the demonion, the spreads do whipsaw a bit. If running an EA, best to get a spread monitor that may disallow trades if spreads exceed xx.x pips. Very useful. I had the alert 1 pip above their average spread, which is still greater than many brokers (except maybe fxcm).Originally Posted by ;

Honestly, it's a good alternative for non-us customers. I can agree that there are different choices out there. MT5 will change a lot of things.
I also agree with Aja in the sense that a broker with enough cash can have someone plan their own custom virtual trader. Technically currenex and other liquidity providers already provide brokers with this ability. The entire digital trader thing was only bad press for metaquotes. Retail forex.
A 3 minute trading halt for a 24 hour market... what will they think up next.Originally Posted by ;

It is not uncommon for a daily reboot or maintenance window of any sort for financial markets. 3 minutes is really pretty great. MBT is 10-15 minutes. GoM can at times be 3-7.Originally Posted by ;
There nothing blatant in Any Way, most ecn have a downtime, although IBFX is not a ecn but I can understand why they have a down timeOriginally Posted by ;
Why are there brokers out there which advertise zero downtime, and my preceding broker even advertised no loopholes.
How can they do it when others can not?
It appears unprofessional to make excuses for them. If you are running a professional company you would make certain there is not any down time, you build in reduny to account for servers that may want to be rebooted occasionally.
There's not any excuse good enough IMHO.
Hmmmmm.... Same'Ol IBFX - However enjoying matches, nevertheless cheating people. That sounds suspiciously like the Virtual-Dealer plugin (or custom programmed equivalent so they could deny utilizing VD)
