Thread: Any comments re: FastBrokers?

As I've decided to kick MBT into touch because of my negative experiences this week, I'm thinking of opening an account using FastBrokers.
I enjoy the appearance of them and have been recommended by a friend but I'd like to hear some other comments.

They are a currenex ECN and they also do MiniFX currencies that is something I'm thinking about trading in too. I've been advised that they are an IB for FXDD so it would be better for me to open an account with them instead.

Again, any opinions would be valued. Thanks

No. Since I also trade weekend openings and MB, (a) dont start trading until later than normal on Sundays and (b) they often dont let trading for over one hour out of their opening because of poor liquidity (sic). That, together with their excuses that NT was at fault and not their system along with the exceptionally aggressive customer service has given me enough grief to kick them in to contact.

I've enjoyed a good relationship with them for a long time but I've also noticed a decline in their service recently and this was only the tipping point.
That customer service guy was fucking impolite and that I see no reason why I shouldn't vote with my feet.

    That client...
Certainly you have to do what works for youpersonally, but it was weird that they were impolite. Usually MB is at the top at the customer service department. Was having a bad moment. Can it be one individual, or was sharing that same sentiment.

I know fastbrokers and they have been very nice and useful so far. They use a new platform called Pathfinder Trader that, so far as I understand, it's their own proprietary software. Additionally, you are right, you can exchange Currency Market with a currenex account and additionally futures (however you still need to open two accounts, a few regulation they state ). The good thing is that if you have an automated egy on indior you can use it to both your Currency Market and futures account.

They're also going to release a new version of the software that they say it enables to connect to numerous Currency Market accounts or brokers in precisely the same time, not sure yetit seems promising but we'll see. So far as I know you can get pathfinder trader just at fastbrokers. Great luck!

The first guy was fine but then he put me on somebody that he said had more knowledge on the side and he had been the person who had been faceitious and rude.
I've now calmed down a little and I am still with them as I might have been somewhat truculent.
However, I am testing Fastbrokers using a demo account.
I enjoy their DOM, much more complied than the NT one but I am surprised that eventhough they have a currenex connection their spreads are generally wider than MBTs.
The one thing I really do like about MBT is that their new'cover for limitations' and I am finding that instead of being in debit at the end of the day commissions shrewd, I am really in credit. I always place limit trades and so that's quite an advantage for me and may possibly create a significant difference.

Comparing Currenex spreads against MB Trading is futile. Currenex remains a credit based ECN therefore the market is accomplished by the liquidity suppliers, while looks like in MB now even the small guy can be at the top of the market.

So maybe MB shows a spread of 0.1 however, the best bid/ask there are 2 a small fish with a microlot in addition to the book, praying to find the rebate. I am not certain this is what you would like to execute on volumes.

The Fastbrokers have done a great job in making a reputable ECN to be tradable on a complex platform. That is what currenex was really missing. It is worht a try.

Multiple liquidity providers to both futures/forex.

I'm just trying this out today, actually like what I see on the charts. What's great is that they not only reveal volume (not sure if that is their order book likely ), but it might show quantity as an indior appears very natural, akin to a volume profile on say a major stock, rather than some tick-derived volume study ike VSA and many others that are okay, but don't indie the actual quantity of orders. The DMI indi appears excellent in conjunction with this vols.

Not wanting to sound like a commercial here. However there seems to be a trend among a few (i.e. fxcm egy trader) brokers now (especially DMA/STP) to create their own proprietary platforms and also dump MT altogether, can't say anybody would want to argue with that. MT bridges have problems.

You aso have here Utra low latency. Attempt to find a currenex ULL broker on the market which requires only $2500 min. dep.

There have been posts complaining about the monthly fee. Again, for $50/mo. For futures data since beginning, I challenge anybody who can find a lower rate...I've looked high and low.

I've long wished to use various foreign exchange traded futures in my forex trading, such as the usdx and VIX, without having to compose cludgy C dll's and screw about with MT.

    Is anybody else with PF?

I've been playing with Pathfinder for quite some time now and I have to say that I'm really liking what I see. This platform is definitely unique rather than the usual MT4 of which I've grown tired of. Sure there are a million EAs for MT4, but really, has anyone become wealthy using EAs? Is the folks running circles and broker hopping. Don't take me wrong, EAs are great but they are like driving a Ferrari with a Pinto enginethey seem great on paper but when it comes to implementation it is a whole different story.
So, I have decided to move away from MT4 and look for something different. Take a look at Pathfinder's charts or at the depth of market (they call it scalperbook) which is great to place orders fast and also on the fly. Whoever created this platform did it with the active trader in mind.
