Thread: From Reminiscences of a Stock Operator

Waiting for the markets to move Somewhat, I turn the TV off and reach for one of my Novels - Livermore's Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.

    Page 54:
My connections with my brokers were friendly enough. Their accounts and records and mine did not agree and the gaps happened to be me against. Coincidence -- maybe not! Bt I struggled for my own and generally had my way in the end. They had the expectation of getting away from me that which I'd taken from them. They considered my winnings as temporary loans, I think.

I did not pay much attention to the passage when I previously read it... Yes, it is OK for my Require Profits to not be hit (due to this or - not really important.) , but my Stop Losses do get triggered each time.

I hope you are not as tired as I am, but I just wanted to talk about it with you in case you did not have much else to think of or do.

At times the markets even take out my mental stop within my demo account...

My initial thought upon reading that passage was, that the more things change, the more they remain the same.
