Well, here's my diary. My name is Diego, I've been going around for a year in demo and six months in real. I haven't done well, I've lost more than I want to admit, but I won't give up. This thread is to document my operations, my mistakes and what (I hope)
Today I opened two positions in EURUSD. One purchase from 1.0865 with TP at 1.0902 and SL at 1.0840. I closed it manually at 1.0880 when I saw weakness in the rise. The other was a sale at 1.0888 that jumped the SL. Result: -12 net in the day. Frustrating, but less than other days.
I'm starting to understand that the problem isn't strategy, the problem is me, and my lack of discipline, I'm having a hard time letting go of the profits and cutting the losses.
Do you really need a journal to tell that you have no idea what you're doing? This is trading, not group therapy. If you don't know how to handle your head, do something else.
Green day. +42. I operated the rupture of the accumulation zone in GBPJPY with 2 microlots. Entry in 184.25, exit in 184.90. I stood firm and did not touch the SL or the TP. Finally a clean entry.
I had an emotional relapse. I lost $55 to move the SL twice. I knew I shouldn't do it, but I couldn't help it. I'm disappointed with myself. How does my mind train for this? I know they told me, but I can't internalize it.
I haven’t had an operation for a week to reset my head. I’m reading about trading psychology and going back to backtesting. I put on a new rule: if there’s no clear setup, there’s NO TRADE. I’d rather be outside and doubtful, than inside and afraid.
Che, do you really think you're going to achieve this at the point of reflection? Less books and more practice. The market doesn't wait for anyone.
Update: week closed at $$88. The best is not the number, but I didn’t break any rules. All tickets were for my system based on volume + price stock. I’m focusing on quality, not quantity. Come on!
Bad entry today at USDCHF. I bought after a fake bass break without confirming the volume. I jumped the SL in less than 15 minutes. I lost $27. Note: NEVER enter by candle alone.
