Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
I haven’t opened operations for two months on Mondays and honestly feel like it’s changed my life. Gaps, weird spreads, unconvinced movements... all that I left behind. Does anyone else happen that Monday just isn’t worth the stress? I’d like to know if I’m the only one who prefers to start the week just Tuesday.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
Totally agree. Monday is the perfect day to analyze, plan and read the market without the pressure to run. Operate in Sniper mode, not like headless chicken.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
Well, I love to operate on Mondays. It’s when you most notice the weekend hangover and many times the opening levels are clear. If you avoid the market because you don’t understand it, that’s another thing.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
I also started to avoid Mondays. I got tired of the setbacks skipping my stops and then the price ended where I said... but without me.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
What if I told you that my best trades last month were all on Monday? It’s not the day, it’s the system and the head you use it with.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
What happens is that Monday sometimes seems like the market is playing to make you dizzy. I better take the day to back up and sharpen my tools.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
Every man with his own. Monday seems to me the best day to sweep newbies. Everyone comes back hungry and without patience. Rather, I fish while others meditate.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
I join those who avoid it. I already have enough with the traffic, the work and the accumulated emails of the weekend. I don’t need to be taken out of the market.
Re: Does anyone else avoid operating on Mondays for mental health?
Funny, I only operate on Mondays if I see some very clear setup in London, otherwise I don't even bother, the emotional filter is key.

And those who say "Monday sets the schedule for the week"? Because I've read that a thousand times. Someone explains it to me with real examples, please.
