A employee of EFX Group (IB company of an ECN, MB Trading) explained that MT4 is not actually compatible with ECNs.

Any ideas, any comprehension of these presence folks?
A lot of thanks.
I might have misunderstood what they said. Perhaps MT4 is just incompatible with THEIR ECN. In a response, Justin LeBlangQuote:

Hope this wouldn't confuse you more.
ATCbrokers.com seam to be doing something with ECN
Watch MT4 Pro support on there site.
In the event the guys at metatrader was clever they'll make there platform compatible with ecn, they could corner the platform market using this method, they or the number 1 retail plaform, why don't you consider the ecn market.
If you're the guys at MT, would you rather sell 20 permits at $100,000 a piece to 20 distinct platforms, or market 1 license to 1 platform because everybody would want to exchange on such a platform?Quote:

You can actually see the spread widening and final on the MT4 chart.
