Thread: Why do I keep losing in areas of support and resistance?

  1. #1
Hello everyone, I need someone to tell me if I'm the only one who gets this... Frame my supports and resistances, wait for the price, get closer, enter, open position... and ZAS, pulls me out. Then the price comes back and does just what I expected, but without me inside. I use Japanese candles, confirmation, volume, even divergences. But every time I trust a strong area, they skip it like it doesn't exist, they sweep my stop and then they do respect the area. Is it me or is this manipulated? I want to open this thread to share real-time tickets, key zone ideas, and see if we can polish mistakes together. I don't know if the failure is me anymore or the way the market "cleans" small traders.

Welcome to the club, they're hunting you down, like a lot of people, the trick is not to make it so obvious.

This happened to me for years. I thought the technical analysis was magic, but the truth is that the supports and resistances are zones of interest, not magical lines. Sometimes you have to leave room and work with confluences.

Have you tried the order flow or footprint charts? There you see who is defending the real area. The rest is playing guessing.

I no longer operate SR zones without context. If there is no previous trend, clear confirmation and real volume, it is not worth it. The price is taken the photo to deceive.

If it was as easy as drawing a line, we'd all be millionaires, wouldn't we?

I totally share your frustration. In my case, I learned to wait for the "second inning." Let me break, pull stops and then, when he comes back, that's where I come in.

You're not alone. Most starters fall into that game. Learn how to operate liquidity traps and you'll see how everything changes.

I'm telling you bluntly: you're operating levels without understanding why behind the movement. Who buys there? Who sells there? Why? If you can't answer that, you're just throwing coins.

I solved it with a simple rule: if everyone sees it, I do not operate it. If you see supports and resistances in any public graphic, assume that they are waiting there to eat you alive.
