I don't know about most of you but I am a programmer - and a begginer in the FX industry .
I have been programming signs for VT trader with a few friends - and it works excellent (Last indior = LSMA merged with ADx/MA cross).
    And it works quite well.

Ps - I'd post signs here if anyone wishes - for VT trader.
My question is : Why do I need to contemplate Esignal Or CQG - or is there some sort of additional charting service which would top VTTRADER together with my signs?

I'll be very pleased to cover charting services - but do we need to cover them when they're very free on VTTRADER etc.. . ?

Hello pip, most around here are offered on metatrader. Many have come from vt trader. Of course for people such as you tradestation is on the top of the line. I also think you'd get a kick out of trade navigator from genesis. jim

I trade with Virtual Trader, and I know that many more here do.
So please, if you have something to talk with us, and you're prepared to do so, which could be tremendously valued.
    Thank you Beforehand!

VT is also used by me and am happy with it. I'd like to play with the indior you made: Last indior LSMA merged with ADx/MA cross . Can it be in the collection of additional indiors or on among those VT forums?

If there was some way to have VT charts show dates and times into the near future that would be enormous. Fib lines currently project into the future but does not associate a time or date stamp and the lines in the time scale the charts. With Alternate Time Projections are you familiar? A calculation which would give future projections as described previously.

In addition, I utilize VT, but just as a technical analysis charting tool. There are various things about VT that metatrader cannot replie. Additionally I have noticed it is a lot easier to program in VT then in metatrader..and the admins on VT forums program your any request without any charge.

If you're trying to find a platform which can produce indiors, and ease of programming. I haven't yet discovered.

The VT community is always friendly and helpful. The product are continuously enhancing as well. With new releases being handed out. I wish this would come quicker and may be impatient. But I understand they want to get it right. And because the item is in the stages of growing the consumers has a say in the evolution of the product.

So if your goals are to sit in the pc and trade while taking a look at technical signs. That you programmed or are included. VT is not easy to beat.

If your purpose is to program a trading platform and automat it VT still has a means to go.I hope it will become that sort of platform as I do like the language.I will often program indiors in VT first before distributing them into TradeStations, only because it's quicker to see if something works or not at VT language.

So to create this short. It depends what kind of trader You're

    Hi --
I am using VT Trader -- has had its moments but they're improving so for now I am sticking together cos I do like their charts.

I use the systems only to alert me so I dont need to sit and watch the monitor. I come running back if the alarm goes off and am able to go and make some coffee.

I am interested in your (Last indior = LSMA merged with ADx/MA cross). Can you attach a copy ? Would love to test out it .

I am not really a programmer -- but managed to alter the Moving Average of RSI platform to some Moving Average of RMI and made it to cross at the ideal time -- not really for developers eyes, however, it functions

    Thanks for sharing
    J.R.R.

I had esignal. I don't suggest it for Foreign Exchange. It is ok for eminis, but there are options such as Ensign and Sierra. I used VT for a while, liked it. I use MT4 today; including tons of individuals using it and programming to get it and the interface better .
