    Hi all,

I'm new to Forex and have zero knowledge of trading. I'm trying to choose a few books that will help me with the fundamentals and get me off to a fantastic start. Please have a peek at my list and let me know what you think. Are there any publiions you would add or never bother with?

    High Forex trading
    by Marcel Link

Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom
    by Van K. Tharp

The New Market Wizards: Conversations with America's Top Traders
    by Jack D. Schwager

Getting Started in Currency Trading: Winning in Todays Hottest Marketplace
by, Michael Archer and Jim Bickford

    I've already ordered:

    The Currency Trader's Handbook
    by Rob Booker

Thus, Allow Me to know what you think. Also, please discuss any hints for additional reading for when I'm done with these.

    So far I'm thinking of:

Day Trading the Currency Market: Technical and Fundamental Strategies To Profit from Market Swings
    by Kathy Lien

    Thanks,

If you reside in the USA you can get more than half of this amount listed (the top half of your list) including Wizards and Zone in the library for FREE! .

My little town library can get books from public libraries and university and business school libraries from all over the united states.

Frees you lots of $$$ for the trading. If you read a must have... then get it.

    The (Mis)Behavior of Markets

    Benoit B. Mandelbrot

    ought to be intriguing

and that I have ta say Kathy Lein has a bunch of things that is helpful in her new book
I watch the market at 7 am EST currently that is where it really moves!

Thanks everybody for your book suggestions and advice

East, I see what you mean about using a platform when demo trading. I've needed a demo account for around a week and did three transactions just to get an idea how it works. I didn't wish to play it anymore than that because I want to attempt to take care of it like real money.

I was going to wait to demo until I'd figured out a method for myself but using a totally free method to clinic makes so much sense now that you mention it. I think doing that will help me absorb more from studying and maybe make it much easier for me to put together my own system . I am definitely going to check out the ones you suggested and attempt to put them to use.

Thanks to all for the help,

    --Liz

I completed Kathy Lien's new book, Daytrading that the Currency Market. I recommend reading before you even open a demo account. I like the specialized egies section not simply because they are easy, but also because Kathy goes to the other factors of the reason they work, like order flow and market plogy. My favourite portion of the book is definitely the section where she talks about her trading plan. Every new trader must read this section at least ten occasions!! Fantastic book!!

Martin Pring on Price Patterns is one of the very usefull books I have.

Reminisences of a Stock Operator should be required reading, but maybe not immediately. After studying all of the above, you need to take a look at it.

A good place to begin is the public library. There's not any point in paying for a book that you can checkout for free until your sure it's the one for you. I found these authors all at my library. Remember there's a lot of cash in this field therefore that the books are highly priced. I later found a lot of helpful things on sale at Trader'slibrary.com. They will ship at no cost, However, they utilize USPS cost cutter shipping and it will take 2 to 3 weeks to recieve your shipment.

Martin Pring's - Introduction to specialized Analysis ( comes with a DVD)
    Cliff Droke's - Moving Averages
Steve Nison - (Anything by him is worth a look, my library has quite a few)
Stephen Biglow - ( same matter as Pring)
Alexander Elder - trading to get a Living ( Very useful with the plogical outlook of trading. My Library had the audio and printed book available)

    Best of trading to you

Great List of books. . As for the sequence, may I advise you to proceed with The New Market Wizards original...

There are elements of this that I was not able to associate so that I simply breezed through them. . Most specially if you haven't done any trading earlier, relating was very hard for me personally...

but should you study and demo trade enough, then you will have the ability to relate to the books finally.

When demoing, it is advisable to try a publicly accessible system. . Though it won't make you money, you're going to have the ability to acquire the familiars of SYSTEM trading...

So in my opinionit would be better to demo exchange a publicly accessible systems before attempting to construct your systems. . By trading other systems (even if they prove to be unprofitable), you will continue to be in a position to be knowledgeable about the ins and outs of SYSTEM trading... So to get a fantastic method to check, may I suggest Vegas' 4H Tunnel or VWB... That is availabe here:
    https://www.nigeriaforextrading.com/...ok-review.html

As for further reading, I suggest that the book Trading In the Zone by Mark Douglas. . If I may propose again, read it after reading The New Market Wizards...

I haven't completed Reminiscenses of a Stock Operator since I think I have enough reading to digest and clinic yet. . So you may want to check it out also for Additional reading...

    Hope this helps,
    East
