First of all, calm down. You did the right thing by freezing the loss before you were swept away. That’s better than just watching the balance sheet evaporate. Now it’s time to act head-on. Don’t disarm the shock cover. Wait for the market to give you a chance in one of the two directions and partially close the position more favorable.
Next time, think before you go into an operation without a stop. Now it's your turn to row to get out of that. Good luck. Ah, and in case you didn't know it: covering badly can be worse than not covering.
I thought covering was a good idea in theory... until I did... now I have two open trades that I don't know how to close without bleeding.
The best thing you can do is analyze if the market stabilizes in a range. If that happens, you could work with partial closures when one side is in gain. But if the price is still in trend, don’t try it yet. You’d just expand the loss.
I have considered getting into a lower range and scalping to compensate for the negative floating, but I am not sure if that is playing with fire. My head is already collapsing with so much calculus. This situation is teaching me more than any course.
You're gonna end up with more operations and more mental chaos if you don't have experience with scalping, don't even try it.
I'm trying to close the winning operation when it gets to a certain point and then wait back to close the other one. Do you think that can work? I don't care how long it takes, I just want to get out alive.
It may work, yes, but you need patience and discipline. No panic if the price moves against after closing one side. And, above all, don’t open new operations trying to “accelerate” recovery.
At this point, I feel like I have an open time bomb on the platform. Every candle gives me tachycardia. I don’t know how people operate without planning exits. I never repeat this mistake again.
