Thread: Trading with Heikin i

    Hi ,

I'm a new to FX. I have read various methods of trading posted here, all very strong styles, if applied correctly.

    My favs :
    1. Kolachi's 5WMA Price action
    2. James16 Price action
    3. Twoblink's OCC 55/56 tunnel

From this I created a separate system and kind of trading. I have been backtesting it for a little while and been fairly successful with it.

I trade the 4hr time period as a result of obligations.
    My chart setup:

    EMA 21
    EMA 55
    LWMA 200
    EMA Envelopes
    RSI 9
    Heikin i Bars

Much like Kolachi, I take price and activity to get into trades so I enter trades prior to the cross really happen but instead of using 5WMA I utilize Heikin i pubs and RSI. I will post my trades here from now on.

There are two reasons why I do not take on MA crosses.
    1. Lag
    2. Whipsaw

They way I see it MAs are not just good fashion indiors but a good ossilator. They tend to draw away from each other after a correction through a good fashion, this is what I call the fading result or exactly what many of you would call a whipsaw.

MAs also behave good resistance regions, thus letting you utilize them as profit taking levels.

    Hello and welcome.

What is your entrance trigger utilizing Heikin i Bars.

I have been on the lookout for some way to use this indier.

    Hi senbanda,

you will receive more information when you visit my trades in the future.

    David,

I don't really understand what you intended by trigger, but use bar formation and the rebound out of EMAs as signals, I dont trade on price crosses and ema crosses. I trust that answers your question.

    NZDUSD 18 pips
long-term trend showed enjoyed the bull run against the US dollar is finishing.

If you look at the charts, you will realise that I am using Donchian channels too, I plan to utilize it to further identify conducting trends where RSI keeps giving oversold indiion. I will use it permenantly in this SpeedFX.

trigger....the exact thing that needs to happen the minute befor you click buy/sell order.

If its a bounce, do you input befor the candle closes, or after. And if after would you wait for new pub to break high/low of bounce bar.lt;--only an illuion

But I am refering to how do you associate Heikin i to this trade trigger.

Can Heikin i have anything related to your trigger or only alert you to some setup maybe forming?

    Hi David,

I get what you mean now.

    These are my causes,

    1. Bounce from EMA 21 or EMA 55 confirmed with a HA pub without lower shadows.

    2. Price break out of correction during a trend. Example from chart below.

From the above, in the event the first bar gives a strong sign, eg long pub without lower shadows, I will enter on next pub. Usually I will wait till the 3rd or 4th bar prior to entering. The main reason I use Heikin i is because of the fact that the formations are easier to recognize compared to Candlesticks, which gives more complied signals, I still think candlesticks are popular when coupled with an oscillator best 4 me would be stoch osc.

I have not been in tune with the market recently. . .and thus overlooked many transactions. Viewing for audusd reversal....targetting a 50 pip move UP! .

    -27 pips

One of the worst things that could happen to a trader is to be about the direction of a market but got stopped out until the price goes. The signs for a reversal at the audusd pair was so powerful that I was so confident that it would be ok to trade against the trend I wasn't actually looking for a rally off MAs.

Call it overconfidence or plain ignorance, so I was a t work once I got stopped outside. Refer to talk below and see my pain...
