Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Risk per operation: 1%. I have an Excel where I register each trade, with reason of entry, result and capture. It helps me not to fool myself. This morning I opened long in EURUSD at 1.0828 with SL at 1.0805. Closed in 1.0856. Good trade, although I endured it with fear.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Afraid of a winning trade? That works over time. I am now more afraid of losing trades.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Most of you don't even have a plan or a log, with discipline, sooner or later, you can tell the difference.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Che, do you use any specific patterns to enter or only PA in areas? I find it hard to validate an entry without an indicator.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Don't kid yourself, no volume, you're operating with a covered eye. I added it and changed everything.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Thanks for the contributions. I do not use volume yet, but I write it down to study it. My tickets are based on structure breaks and rejection candles in key areas. Today I jumped the SL at GBPUSD -25 pips. Early entry without clear confirmation. Error I write down: I did not wait for the confirmation candle in H1.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
That's the good thing about this diary. You show mistakes, not just the right ones. Here you learn more from an SL than from 3 TPs.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Good analysis, but sometimes confirmation never comes. We have to accept that the market will not give you security. It is a game of odds, not certainties.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
Losing to hurry is classic. I now force myself to wait for candle closure. It sounds simple, but it costs horrors.
Re: Journal of a trader without gurus or miracles
I congratulate you on documenting your failures. There's a lot of scavenging in this subforum that only raises green screens.
