    I'm speaking as trader/coder. Strong platform allows better tools. Better tools can perform traders have greater functionality. But this thread has been started for attribute metaquotes since they stopped MT4 growth when we are speaking more 12 years platform.

    Everytime happens same with windows. When W7 arrived everybody didnt want it since XP is the very best. Same individuals later dont want update to W10 since W7 is the very best. But they pass to W7 if they stated XP was the greatest? . Luckily world ignore this kind of individuals because if we have follow them we are still in the stone age

    Yes, but once I shifted from XP, to W7 and now W10, all my appliions (Excel, Word, ... etc) even native software created in Xp, keep operating in W10, without any problems. WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING !!! However, if I decided to switch from MT4 to MT5, nearly nothing would function. Is this normal of an acute and professional platform? DO NOT !!!

    That is not true. That is reason dividers. And even with that very old progr not works. As you told the problem for a Lot of People is missing their MT4 tools but folks were able to utilize tools many years ( some more a decade ) then I dont notice that the detriment

    Yes, it's accurate an Excel sheet made in XP, with a very old version of MIcrosoft Excel (I don't recall which version), I open it now without issues at W10 and Excel 2017.

    Its microsoft stuff. Third party progr are other background. At this moment you still can use MT4. When MT4 stops you can go other more profesional platform. You are going to see all platforms arrives one moment they need break backward compatibility for evolve...

    Anyway I tried long time ago load jibala excel at a newer version and it had been hopeless. Evidently complex documents are somewhat more complie to preserve compatibility. Not all is black or white
