Well, the entire idea of analyzing candlestick patterns is to try to forecast what will happen in the future.

A fantastic place to start is studying candle stick patterns. There is lots out there online about it.

How about you try another option rather then forecast, you might choose to attempt react based on last candle or a few. When you mentioned forecast, it sound like 'imagining' and we can anticipate upon it. Most expert would suggest to respond our commerce based on 'candle creation', such as an engulfing, if it is bearish one we go short, and exactly the same with the bullish engulfing we go long once confirm such candle creation.
