It's quite easy make money from candles that are long but you will have to use an EA, you'll also need an adequate broker. You assess the deviation from the last candle and trigger a reversal trade that you setup utilizing filters (directional force). The market will always retrace from a big candle and that's how you make money, from the response to the event. This eliminates the need to predict anything.

I have set up my own EA that really does so, it is among the very few profitable trading egies that I've, but it does work. It's my holy grail so to speak. It's possible to get around 50 pips per day profit on the EUR/USD's extended candles.

Yes, you can see big candle movements and usually these are themed to coincide with financial news, newsmakers [euro bailout, Fed announcements, etc].

    Raa,

It is possible to predict when a market will move 50 pips and its possible to know which direction it will move in.

Staring at the chart is only a little portion of the mystery you've got to get a fantastic knowledge of Microstructure together having an understanding of the informed traders trade.

So yes it is possible but its not as simple as x=y.

    Hope this helps.

No, you can not predict candles. Neither can you predict ones that are small.

Yesthen you're able to adhere to the high voltage news session such as NFP, FOMC! You may get more than 50 pips! On the flip side, London trading session is significantly active session than Asian; so you can use this trading session! Buthonestly you aren't going to receive 50 pips in every candle! By the way, may I understand your trading plan with the significant trading candles?

The only time these moves can be predicted with any amount of certainty is if you know there will be a major economic event that may be assessed on a economic calendar.

Absolutely agree. The major economic events and important news are creating the bigger candles
