Thread: Stop-Hunting Question

  1. #1
I hear people saying how their ceases were searched. I find it very strange that a broker will probably be in quitting an individual interested. When there was a bunch of quits, then its more understandable that prices would go there to stop them out. So my question is, do stops become hunted like individuals claim occurred to them all of the time? And what if your account is under 100K-200K (is it even worth it to them to stop you out)?

Secondly, if you exchange dailies where your stops are minimal 75-80 pips, from my perception, they wont go the market so many pips to stop 1 person out perfect?

If you know why and how prices are quoted and why the spread expands you'd think differently. This isn't 2003 as I said.

Do not think brokers are out to get you. Stick with a respectable broker. They dont have to prevent hunt, they make a shitload without it. Its regulated. The stop hunting is accomplished by the BSD's....

    There's also some fantastic advantages...
I'm not saying all borkers do so, but it still happens. And you're correct. In this era, their really is no stop hunting by the borkers, besides some of the things I mentioned. And borkers do widen their spreads a few at particular levels in order to hit stops.

Yes I hear you but not cease searching, thats just a consequence that happens because of liquidity conditions... does it hit stops? of course.... Thats the way the market works. Do they get a bit scummy on shitty platforms like MT4... yea agreed. I despise that platform and prevent it. Thats still not brokers searching stops.... Why do they take on that risk (and yes it would be very risky for them) if they could just call up a few men to do it for them....

Shady brokers I cannot talk for, but you guys should not be there.

And you know this how? The brokers told you? Yep, the brokers told you, because that's precisely the same things they said . All you're doing is repeating the blatent lies off of the websites.

Yet, a few posts back is a record of one paying out 200k in fines to regulatory agencies. If you look up documents you'll find fines more recent as well, from brokers.

And as soon as the brokers trade on the interbank market, they are at risk also, that isn't a guaratee their trade will work. What happens when they lose the Dollar and money from the traders? Those transactions they just made a pip spread on are not going to help them much. What about the brokers that state they do not trade in any way?

You have drank the coolaid Monroe.

Again I'm in agreement. This really is cease searching. The one's who do hunt stops are not the borkers, but the banks and couple of players. And they are not after any minor retail trader. The retail trader only ends up as collateral damage in the games that the others play.

However, a few posts back is a record of just one paying out 200k in penalties to regulatory agencies. If you look up documents you'll find fines more recent too, from several brokers.

And as soon as the brokers trade on the interbank market, they are at risk also, that is not a guaratee their transaction will do the job. What happens when they shed the Dollar and...
dude seriously shut up... a dimwit and a liar. And I dont find them paying penalties for stop hunting.

Instead of losing cash this week, pay it on a plane flight, the offer remains on the table together with that shit you talk. You could use a good beating.

It can be time to get a username change cause Kumodragon is fairly tarnished...

So Correct. I despise that platform. These traders would serve themselves better by going to a broker using an option of a better platform.
