Thread: Trading aud/nzd successfully

  1. #1
OK, here it is. This package is my successful package for trading the Aud/Nzd. I began OCT. 22 reside and made 500 dollars on the original 500 I submitted. I moved 500 to another account and traded both accounts live. I also added several other currencies from time to time but they have stopped out occasionally. Aud/Nzd is the only one which never hit my stop loss from the four months trading this method. Instructions are inside the folder about how to load the EAs. I'll show pics and explanations in the upcoming few posts.

After 9 people downloaded we made 2 changes the Sell template didnt have the EA attached. You need to drag the sell EA onto the chart and save the template. We shifted the Excell and Word documents in order that they would be compatible to earlier versions of Windows.

The excel program was given by FrostCall. I believe it is a brilliant piece of work and one of the most useful tools used in trading forex. Thanks I cant say enough on what a fantastic piece of work it's.

Page 2 posts 24 and 25 has more information on the excel program and a good pic of a big trading day.

I have added a 35x25 collection at .05 and multipliion of 1.8 Included is your excel program to show you what the amounts it will do.

Post #383 and after will inform some changes I have added from the original 35x20. I changed the program to 35x25 to provide more range with a stop loss of 210. I'll keep both of these posted here so that you may try both for yourself. I began using the 35x20 profitably but I needed just a bit more range so I have added the 35x25 to the list of EAs.

PLEASE SEE PAGE 31 POST#458 FOR THE EA THAT REALLY OVERCAME SOME OBSTACLES

Please see page 50 post #736 to get a major revision of this system. This relies on a 1H Chart.
Post #826 p. 56 is the similar as post #736 but relies on the 5M chart.
Page 62 post 920 have the latest versions of this buy or sell only EA. They are different from those posted here that buy and sell both directions at the same time.
For those who have brokers that use 5 digits p.64 post 946 comes with a adjusted EA to experiment with.

    P. 101 post 1514 has a note on the importance of live vs demo trading.

A disperse check before inputting is on p. 11 post #1658

This system worked great because the NZ and Australian economies were similar, so they stayed in a tight range. But, their economies have diverged some since of all the heavy buying of mineral commodities which China purchases from Australia which NZ doesnt have. So the price between the Aud and also NZD longer stay in that tight range. If China's market regresses and they quit buying up 25-50% of the world's commodities we could see this system work really well again. Kind of sad since I used to create 1-200 a week off of this system at the same time. So as the basic fundamentals change so will our trading. I trade the AUD/NZD like that I do other currencies since they behave more like others today.

Yes in my view that the AUS and NZ markets have de-coupled to a degree. Australia seems to be in a stronger place post GFC owing to its mineral reserves that china cant get enough of.

Additionally the Christchurch earthquake is going to have an effect on NZ GDP this season so that has been factored into the pricing connection.

I assume you need to take the TP and SL values out of the ordersend functions. Then you need to use a separate trade management ea to set those after the trade has been sent.

Assess http://book.mql4.com/trading/ordersend for more information about the function.

This EAs within this thread must work whether the TP and SL are turned off with an ECN. The 10.0 ones could have a problem but I they work with IBFX. Ask Steve Hopwood to help you and tell him your an important friend of mine. Only 1 question have they gone to MT5?

This thread is indeed quiet given the amazing fashion this pair has had the previous six months.

Decent retrace in the making at the moment, looking to hop on board to short as soon as it cries (if it happens). . .looking at 1.1600ish, stalling a little about the four hourly atm
