I don't know if I'm sold on this. However, I appreciate your article and applaud the fact that someone took the initiative and say oh well, that is how it is.

Just as an aside comment Hilmy, I would like it if you should post more. I read lots of your articles before I signed up on FF. Something that you think about.

And I completely agree with the concept Called Islamic financing. I believe it's only an issue of terminology. If it had been called shared liability financing for example. Something for your marketing people in institutions to figure out.

I see that as a potential solution. Hilmy was appreciated by much!

Fenlander, I recommend you have a look at The Video Store thread. I started it and put a lot of links there to what is allegedly pessimism porn. I'm also a contributor to Marc Faber's Gloom Boom Doom newsletter. Hardly upling substance when Bloomberg calls him Dr. Doom. They also call Schiff and Roubini that and I'm a fan of the two.

But I digress. It's nothing new that things are poor and it's easy to wallow in pessimism.

Pardon the language, but the top plants grow on the worst piles of shit.

But now that we know that it stinks, let us discuss the plants we can grow.

I grew up at a holic household and spent my high school in a seminary. So you literally preaching to the choir.

To summarize it, people like to be safe than worry free.

I respectfully disagree with that. No matter what one's views are, I firmly believe he should vote. If no candidate is adequate, then ask yourself why. Is it that they are ready to compromise (as politicians inevitably have to do) and you are not? Can it be because none have views in line with yours? Are you ready to compromise and vote for the candidate who is coverage is closest to your views? And if that's not feasible, would you consider running for office yourself?

After all, in case you've got some views that make sense, chances are many others agree with you and possibly the only real way to get your ideas on the table is to run for office yourself.
