Excellent remark. Scalpers will have a field day, in my own opinion.

    Happy Thanksgiving all.

If anything watch out for a terrible Black Friday in the US economy or some other upset relating to the day following Thanksgiving.
This week is a black friday?

I doubt it will influence the market.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. .

Will thanksgiving fall on wednesday and we are going to called it black thursday? Or Thanksgiving will probably always be on thursday?

Thanksgiving is obviously the 4th Thursday of November (in the US). Black Friday is simply a term given to the shoppers that begin around their Christmas shopping 0500 today.

President http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt set the date for Thanksgiving to the fourth Thursday of November in 1939 (approved by Congress in 1941).

BTW, which was a very nice move on Eu and GU at the night, was not it? I hope everyone did well on the low liquidity... The move was definitely telegraphed.

OK, I will not make any opinions but it does have an interesting history. The holiday was created in 1863 by Abraham Lincoln. Roosevelt really tried to move the date to the 3rd to assist retailers by extending the Christmas shopping season. It caused quite a stir.
