Shooting for any average return does not function in my experience, not daily. I aim for approximately 10 percent per month although not in the start! I don't see a point in earning 10% per month with a $1k account, I just want to push it a bit in the beginning....
It has been a while since I've surfaced, the truth is I just noticed you had started this diary. Mate I have to (once more ) take my hat off to you. You are one of only a few who I understand that puts themselves on the line and reveals honesty, even and especially in your mistakes.

That I have lately come to the conclusion, much as I am sure you will concur, that there are quite a few who can and do accept 1k accounts seriously. We are all trying to find a small payout for our period and to trade a small account seriously and take 20-30% annually is a very difficult process in the short run, nearly impossible in the longterm. Unless traders possess some kind of funds then trading for profits will nearly always be a gamble with 1k accounts. At least with 50k there are the pain of loosing that should ideally keep you in check.

    Take care

My primary account is for my children and grand children and the generations that will come after them. I like to know exactly where the money is and what's going on with it. I'm actually thinking on reducing my risks...
    Hello Platypus and all,

Just stumbled across this thread and a number of your responses interested me.

And I think I have worked out your egy.

First I asked myself what I'd do when I had loadsa money - lets say about 100 mill dollars - what would I do with it. Not indiing thats the size of your equity - but it could be.

Well, first I'd invest 90 mill in quickly women, cars and whiskey. The rest I'd gamble with.

No seriously, I'd probably buy hard assets with 90 mill - things like gold and silver, maybe antiques, works of art...i.e. things that maintain their value but do not pay any interest.

The other 10 mill I'd put in a few of bank Foreign Exchange accounts, those that the banks utilize, where you do not get any or much leverage but the spreads would be like 0.1 pips on the Euro.

Then should I make 10 percent py in my 10 mill that's just 1% of my equity, but its still 1 mill py - Think I'd be pleased with this lol.

I just closed everything. I guess I'll stick in a little Euro long again as I think the stress test results tomorrow will be useful.

That very long trade was a great one (I've added some huge ones) and now I am short big time with SL at BE already.

Good to see you're back in the saddle.
I see that magnificent 10x gearing is back also.

First month is done with an awesome yield of 70,73%. Because of that I've a huge Euro brief position running (the SL would result in a reduction of about 8% which I am fine with). I don't see the Euro going over 1.31 next week:

    Hello

117.000 components appears to be a risk to take a bit getting used to. Hope you can run this trade in the win.

Wish you good success in the Forex jungle

Here is my grid 1.31 to 1.23. Not sure if it's correct.

, had a peek into your myfxbook account to correlate trades with my own grid.
But there were some transactions I dint know. Very short term trades with 10:1 and over gearings (with lot dimensions as 50000 - 70000). Is it part of BWILC?
