Thread: Schedule and its effects on volatility: daily routine per country

Thanks for the data.Yes, all schedules matter. It is not only on the main sessions, but how local routines affect volatility in less obvious markets. Please keep sharing. If someone has information on changes in banking operations due to summer schedule, it would also be useful.

Honestly, your insistence on collecting this data seems obsessive.Do you really think that knowing when someone has lunch in Japan will improve your trading? The market moves by great players and global events, not by the personal routines of the traders. It seems to me a waste of time.

Let me guess, will the next step be to ask for photos of our offices to analyze lighting and its impact on our decisions?Your idea is interesting, but it seems that you are complicating something that should be simpler.Global schedules are already established and you don't need so many details.

Your approach seems to someone who wants to reinvent the wheel. There are already tools that automatically calculate schedules and their impact on volatility. Why don't you use them?In addition, if your strategy depends so much on such thorough data, it may be too fragile to be effective.
