Thread: The usual suspects - effective baskets

Other factors to consider are the value per PIP and margin requirements.According to my calculations, this week EURNZD has the greatest profitability potential.

That statement is worth its weight in gold ... and heavy gold is worth more than normal gold.

Learning to identify strength or weakness in individual currencies instead of pairs is one of the keys to this game.Traders must stop seeing the price printed on their screen and start thinking about the nature of the two currencies that are operating at the same time.If you believe that a currency will be less in the future, see it against all the currencies you think will be appreciated, and vice versa. So simple.

People love to complicate unnecessarily in any aspect of trading.I see it constantly in discussions about technical analysis. It seems that many traders seek to relieve their uncertainty with complications instead of simplifying their approach.

After two huge red daily candles, it was foreseeable that today there was some profits. But I'm still waiting for the EUR/USD to fall until the next support zone in ~ 1.09 in the next few days.

Your currency force indicator only measures one aspect of the market. You should also consider the value per PIP, margin and volatility.Do not trust the momentum.

People get too complicated with these baskets. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is if you are buying the strongest currency and selling the weakest. You do not need five pairs to do well, with one or two it is enough. Many believe they diversify with baskets, but in reality they are increasing their risk without realizing it.Sometimes, less is.A well executed trace is worth more than five random open.

Baskets can make sense in certain scenarios, but if you are not sure why you are operating them, you better get away from them.It is not about opening positions in multiple peers just to look sophisticated. If your operation has no logic behind, you are speculating meaningless.More pairs does not mean more profits, just more problems if things go wrong.

I love how some complicate something so simple. If a currency is weak, see it.If it is strong, buy it.Why assemble a five pairs puzzle?I do not say that the baskets are useless, but most use them without really understanding how they affect their total exposure. They end with contradictory positions and then wonder why they don't earn money.

If you really think baskets are an advantage, do you have data to prove it?Or are you just following a fashion that you saw in a forum? The difference between a profitable trader and one that only plays to be is that the first tests their strategies before putting them into practice.Do not get carried away by theories without foundation.
