Thread: How much capital do I really need to start at Forex without burning myself?

I'm starting at Forex and I've read everything: that with $105 you can start, that with $5,010 is the least serious, others say that better an eternal demo... Anyway, can anyone with experience give a realistic and argued figure? I'm sick of YouTube gurus and want to listen to real traders.

If you don't have at least $1,010 to start and mind losing it, don't mess with it. This isn't to play.

I started with $210 and lost everything in a month. Then I studied 6 months and came back with $1,520. I started seeing results.

It's not capital, it's emotional control, you can have $10,020 and lose it anyway if you don't know what you're doing.

With $105 you can learn the basics, but don't expect to live trading. The important thing is to build discipline.

Anyone who says you can live off trading with less than $2,010 lies or has never really tried.

I started with $500 and I don't regret it. That's enough to have skin in the game without crying if you lose it.

And if you start with $1,010 but operate like you have $100k, you're also doomed.

Have you considered copying traders into PAMM accounts? Maybe that’s better than burning your money by learning alone.

No one is going to give you a magic figure. Capital depends on your style, risk tolerance and expectations.
