I know it's a silly question, but is the Forex market closed on weekends? I don't get any data on my platforms. I don't see movement on this page either. I thought there would at least be some tick volume coming in. I just wanted to make sure my PC is working well.
Mine works well. EUR/USD went up 300 pips today.
Yes, the market closes on Friday and opens on Sunday at 23:00 GMT for me.
I've been reviewing the ticks data in MT4 and I don't see much. EUR/USD, USD/AUD and USD/JPY. I'm in US central time, New York session.
It seems that ticks data are finally starting to enter. It must have been for the weekend and a loose Monday. Nothing serious! I guess you can even capture some important trend changes with this news. Hehe!
Exactly, markets are closed on weekends or at least all Saturday until well into Sunday night when Tokyo opens.
