Today I again made the mistake of overworking in a session with very little volatility. Despite having clear signs of not entering, I forced operations looking to recover the lost and ended up worse. It’s not the first time that happens to me, but I need to break that cycle.
That's very common at first. Sometimes the best trade is to do nothing. Learning to stay still is key.
If you know you're overopering, you've already got half the way done. The hard thing is to accept that there are days where you won't win and it's okay.
Thanks for the encouragement. Today I set out to operate only in London sessions and close everything before NY. See if it works for me to put on that discipline.
Good decision. Most traders burn to operate at any time. Limit your window and you will be surprised with the results.
Put on a rule: if you do 2 bad operations in a row, close the platform and go for a walk. It works.
Today was different. Just a trade, EUR/USD, +27 pips. No anxiety or pressure. I’m trying to trust my plan more.
That's already a great victory! It's not just the profit, it's the disciplined execution. Well done.
Remember that constancy is worth more than the euphoria of a good day. An account grows by steps, not by leaps.
