Thread: Richard Olsen's E-book: How to Operate

Thank you for sharing the book. I’m looking forward to reviewing it. Does anyone else have simple but solid resources that I can recommend to a novice?

It doesn't literally say that. Suppose you're willing to risk 1% of your account in an operation, and divide it into three 0.33% entries. You can "promediate down" in a controlled way, without exceeding your risk. It's different from what most traders do, and if your system allows it, it can be an interesting tactic.

That's how I understood it too. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of average down. Two quick reasons: The only thing you do (as your name indicates)

Is e-book as dangerous as they say?

  5. #15
Yeah, if you read it backwards, you get a margin call.

1,234 accounts exploited for following that advice.

    Hahaha, that's a great comment.

Should I pay to read it? I don’t manage the internet well, I’m learning. I’m part of a government-funded program that supports people like me. I have cognitive impairment, multiple sclerosis and beginning blindness. Maybe I could ask for support to buy it. How much would it cost? I can’t pay more than $2 for now. Can I rent it? That’s what my older sister asks.

Does that book really promote adding to losses? I don’t understand how anyone can think that’s a good idea.
